Its so weird to see Champion on the drums

0:47 Bibi Sucre, Anya Star, Monica Celeste (RIP) and Marcation rapping the song Kolo Martyrs.

1:14 JB Mpiana and Wenge BCBG singing along with Evoloko Lay.

*Some extrats of their concert in Laussane, which was one their last concert before returning to Kinshasa
*Roger Ngandu giving the program of their tour in Europe, their album Anti Terroriste and throwing shots towards Koffi Olomide.
*Alain Mpela talking about the concert, their tour, their return to Kinshasa adding that they will return to Europe soon and touring until january 2003. He also talked about the return of Monica Celeste who rejoined Wenge BCBG after leaving Quartier Latin and the recruitement of CNN.
*Jean Pierre Onema also interviewed JDL, Anya Star, Monica Celeste.

Those ladies sounded better rapping acapella than they did on the actual album lol

If they were able to finish Anti-Terror is intially planned, wouldn't that have meant that Mboka Liya and Cellulaire would have never participated on the album? If I'm not mistakened, those guys were recruited during their lengthly stay in Kinshasa while they were waiting on visas

I don't think that Cellucaire would participate because he was part of the PPU's based in Kinshasa, maybe Burkina Faso if Maison Schengen accepted to give them visa's in 2003. Because Burkina Faso rejoined Wenge BCBG towards the end of 2002. His return to Wenge BCBG created alot of controversy because he joined Nouvelle Ecriture one week before that and also because Papa Wemba paid a car for him. Lambio Lambio and the musicians of Nouvelle Ecriture attacked him very hard interviews, calling Mbokaliya a thief.

Do you think it was a bad career move for Burkina Faso leave Masion Mere after Kibusia Mpimpa? He had better creations with that band than his second time around with Wenge BCBG and despite JB Mpiana receiving him, he still was treated poorly and left during the recording of Kipe a Ya Yo.

A La Queue Leu Leu would have been so much better with Mboka Liya, because he would have elevated Kapaya to play better partitions. At that time, Japonais wasn't happy in Wenge Masion Mere and his contributions weren't as impactful on that album as his previous work.

Who do you think won in the polemic between JB Mpiana and Koffi?

Mboka Liya is a nomad .When he rejoined BCBG they had Moleso ,Ficarre and the brilliant Patou Solo.He had no chance after that. In Maison Mere we will never know if he would have improved Kapaya.Kapaya has his own style .Japonais is just himself he is also like Mboka Liya moving around. If he had stayed in one band he would be highly regarded.

I found it not very smart the way Wenge BCBG used to attack Koffi back in the early 2000's. They lost alot of fans who were born in the 50s and 40s, because of the way they were attacking him. They could find other ways to attack Koffi. I remind an old man saying that it was a prove that Tabu Ley was right by saying that JB Mpiana is very rude and doesn't have respect for his elders, not understanding that they were just attacking Koffi.

Yeah jb himself admitted it was a mistake during an interview,he said during that time with that level of fame he got  a bit hot tempered be it in private or professional level he was very very easy to upset and get a strong reaction from, djo k used it so well for his interview
i think he even kind of "sacrificed" the second part of his career in trying  to change that image, even if it needed him going a bit away from competition (since it is competition which used to lead artists to release very often and have that arrogant attitude "ko pesela")
if i am not mistaken jb used to have issues with tabu ley over tabu ley's oppen support to werra(just like it too werra a long time to get along again with papa wemba given how wemba was fully behind jb

The problem with Tabu Ley started just before the split. It was when he and the minister of culture tried to convice Werra, Makaba, JB, Blaise, Adolphe & Masela to not split Wenge. JB Mpiana didn't want to hear about that and reacted then on a bad way to Tabu Ley. Tabu Ley was very furious about the way JB Mpiana talked to him. After the meeting at Sun City some journalists tried to ask Tabu Ley questions and Tabu Ley kind of cursed JB Mpiana by saying with that old lingala-accent "muana wana soki a continuer na modele wana ako kende mosika te" (that kid if he continues on that way, he won't go very far in his career).

Ah yes i remember, thats surely what even him was talking about in that interview i remember jb said something like "kala nazalaki  soki  nasi nazui decision ata papa wa roma ako changer yango te" and that when he reached 35 years old he started asking himself questions which made him change his approach,if you notice from 2002 2003 he started changeing(although he still had a bit of that aggresive side when you asked him an embarrasing question or when he accused press of being unfair for example like the fikin 2005 situation)
hahahaha later like you know vieux ley loved him when it became time for primus business
i can picture the image of vieux roch saying " mwana wana soki alandi esaleli oyo akokende obe mosika te"
