If it happens that Koffi does not attend Papa's funeral then it will injure Papa's family and Congo at large abroad.

Not really, people understand the pain Koffi put Papa Wemba through so it will be a temporary setback, remember it happened to Wemba and Koffi too when King Kester died, people forgot about it soon as they know mourners are emotional so are capable of making irrational decisions. Koffi was not important in Wemba's life but it is still regrettable that he has been barred, hope the family changes its mind however now with Koffi's father's death,it may be that Koffi will concentrate on his own father's funeral arrangements since Wemba's is literally a State funeral.

They all need to leave Koffi alone...the man has done nothing wrong but always gets bad publicity regardless of what he does....they all need to acknowledge he's the only living legend with classics to back it up we have left....so show appreciation to the man.

Nobody normal would say that (lol you and JV kill me with your short and direct posts )  but we  must admit its very sad that the three main men of clan viva will never have been in position to honour properly each other at funerals
as for the remaining artists,i might surprise you maybe but if  what kofficentral's manager said is true, the other artists than koffi deserve blame,he said hr sent for koffi text messages to all musicians to reunite and discuss over organization but apparently nobody replied, its about time our artists forget their pride a bit

JV,skills cannot override character. Therefore, having produced classics or being the ever living legend does not come to play here. This is about our relationship to other humans like us,around us. Beyond the fame and name,we are still humans so our relationships matter.
Everybody has got to sheath his or her sword now and embrace peace. We have all got our flaws but what makes us reasonable is the ability to know we have got flaws and getting to work on them to become better people.
Papa's people have not handled this well,if i may say. Papa was hurt by some people and all that. He too would have hurt some people too while he was here. Now,he is gone, people still want to relive the past and stay in it. That ain't too nice. Forgiveness is release. Let them all forgive one another and move on please.

Archos this is a funeral and in our African way people should behave with honour and respect. It is always time to forget old wrongs and mourn with dignity but I just read your reply to the member who asked about polemics( how they are created and exploited by artists) and i doubt if that is gonna happen

Wait so why were Wemba and Koffi not allowed at Kester's funeral?

Yes they were not welcome at all, reddy amisi who was going there informed them of a big plan to humiliate them should they come,so koffi went  to perform for president mugabe and papa wemba did a quiet funeral at home and at village molokai until 40 days after funerals

Sad stuff indeed. The vengeful family members always have the upper hand in these situations. Luambo Makiadi's funeral had a similar situation, especially with politicians of the time. Can't really blame Koffi, who did his job instead or Wemba, who did not like confrontations.

I think the only funeral for a big star that occurred relatively cleanly with little malice was Seigneur Ley's.

How were they going to humiliate them? And why do that at a time of mourning? I'm sure Koffi and Wemba wanted to mourn with the rest.
