I have watched a little bit. I will be watching more of the next days. But good thing that Makosso said was that Franco and Mobutu were not friends. They were just business partners which is accurate.

I did not watch the full interview, but I hope he talks about Franco's dirty songs, according to my dad, when Franco was arrested by Kengo Wa Dondo, Franco's mom listened the songs and then he started crying.

I watched the first one hour. He talked about how the spent over a month in prison but upon release they went straight to Gbadolite to perform at Mobutu's residence. He also says since not the musicians went to prison as some ran away, then at that concert in Gbadolite those who spent time in prison with Grand Maitre Franco got paid more money by Franco than those who ran away. Lol

Ntesa was one of the musicians who ran away. Apparently Franco made those songs to get buzz, because Tabu Ley was getting popular after releasing "Sorozo", "Sukaina", etc and it was obvious that they were rivals.

Yeah, Josky Kiambukuta said that in the interview he made with Marcel Landu, saying that everybody was going to Type K of Tabu Ley and Vieux Ley calling his band Argentine (Argentine won the Fifa World Cup in those days) and Franco's 123 being empty. Franco didn't know what to do and suddenly releasing Heleni, Jacky & Sous-Alimentation Sexuelle (I only heard the first two).

Me too, I imagine how dirty "Sous Alimentation Sexuelle" is, the name just describes the song, lol. And the songs weren't released officially it was bootleg cassettes distributed in Un-Deux-Trois

Lol. That part where he said Kengo Wa Dondo (sp) instructed prison officials at Makala that no more prison visits for outsiders. And Papa Makoso saying it was actually good that visits were forbidden because marriages would have been broken alluding to the fact that most likely official wives would have come to visit at the same time as girlfriends. As usual Ado pushing him to mention names of musicians whose marriages would have ended if visits were not forbidden.:D
