Rendekita (I'm pissed at Blaise for promoting the album just once)
Control
Koffi "Le Live"
Defao's "Irruption"

I'm literally drawing a blank thinking of other albums that came out this year that are worth remembering

Man Redekita was a masterpiece. I am also frustrated with congolese on promotions. I don't know how they didn't grasp the concept of social media.

Rendekita by far... its the best album released in years. But I don't even wanna talk about Blaise I'm so pissed at him due to the way he promoted it.

It’s not Blaise Bula fault it’s the fault of Arthur Kadima-Nzuji.

At the end of the day it’s the artist’s responsibility to promote an album, or it will fall on deaf ears

Blaise Bula's case isn't the same with that of JB Mpiana. If it wasn't Arthur then we would have seen Rendekita in 2018, but in 2023. Blaise Bula wasn't able to finish the recordings of the album by himself and to records clips. It was all with Arthur's money and Arthur wanted to get the money back by insisting Blaise to promote the album in Europe. The same thing happened with Alain Mpela & Bouro back in 2006 with Moovison not wanting them to return in Kinshasa to do the promo or give them some little money.

If you promote your album in Kinshasa you won't make benefits as producer. Fally, Ferre, Koffi and Werrason are mostly for all makes loss, but are lucky that they have a fame, a big fanbase and donors behind their back. And if you look well then you will see that the contracts they sign with those producers is that they will do the promo in Kinshasa, Angola and Congo Brazza by themselves. 95% of the cd they sell in Kinshasa are in reality piracy-cds with only 5% being original and shipped on a illegal way to Kinshasa just to escape to taxes of the governement and Socoda/Soneca. Everybody knows that, but those officials close their eyes. And if they get problems they just corrupt them with small money or just a phone-call of an influent politician.
