I used to hate Rossen, but I liked Kassoul as Soleil copycat. The name he used to have (Kasumbalesa) was already killing me and his vocal in Mogomboro where he used imitating the way a man was stuttering when trying to flirt with a girl. The only vocal I didn't like was in Sambela and Nzambe Mokonzi, where I felt like he was playing with God for the way he was singing. I was afraid that he would disappear quickly for the way of not having his own identity. But he surprised me in 242 where he started to sing differently and more in Vision, although not being a fan of the album. It's a huge lose for Nouvel Horizon and also for Congolese music. He had alot to offer.

Rest in Peace

lol i can imagine you wanting to turn tv off when rossen was singing "kumisa mokonzi na yo ye moto akela yo,le maitre de la creation ouh seigneuurrrr yeeeee nkolo ehhhh hein"  :D :D :D :D or the first vocal, thinking about it the old system was good many musicians of those generations were having a vocal in first and second part of the song now,you can find yourself with one vocal only on the whole 30 songs album as a band member
thinking about it in nzambe mokonzi he was not as crazy as in other vocals, maybe because he was interpreting regis touba's vocal and not his own

This is really heartbreaking, I was in contact with them just recently.......he was one of the ENH powerhouse.......no news on the cause of death?

from the info i looked for, what i got as info is that the night before his death he was feeling very bad and him and his girl had agreed that they'd go to hospital on next morning and by the morning he was feelling very strong stomach pain, and they went to hospital where he was given a room while trying to do checkup to find whats going wrong with him,and as time went on he started spitting blood more and more until it got difficult to handle for the doctors(knowing how reactive some of our doctors can be in africa SMH) and he passed away
poisoning is mentioned as one of the possibilities of his death
eish thats sad, if its poisoning then his circle knows what happened....... thanks for the info.

Ahahahaha nooo. Rossen wasn't as bad as people claim he was he was Just weird but with a very good dancing sense.

The vocale you are talking about Is at 4:45 for the people Who didn't catch It. NGL when I was Little even tho the album was differenti from Kin Music. I used to love Obbligatorie.

funerals have started at the family house of kassoul
here his longterm friends before the extra musica's dodi le talent and dido senga pay tribute to him dido remembering their arrival when some of the big names of clan extra were still around(hermann regis arafat) and the long way they've had together and he regreted premature loss of his friend, who for him had plenty  to offer
dodi remembers how he went to seek advice from him before joining extra musica zangul and how he ended up joining them few times after then later  creating nouvel horizon and how he used to argue with him a lot about choreographies
my thoughts to all his younger brothers and sisters(since he was the oldest of the family) and to his mother sylvie bossongo who he gave several shoutouts to in vision

Are there any news on his cause of death?

i saw an interview of sonor's wife chela who said that  they had rehearsed normally on the friday prior to his death and that they were even making plans to go see one of their big donors the week after  who had to give them some money, then during the weekend he called sonor to inform that he was not feeling well and that he would be missing monday's rehearsal to go to hospital then unfortunately it worsened and he died in the transition from monday to tuesday
i also saw somewhere on youtube his brother from same mother but different father or something like that who was making hints of poisoning and was unlike etats unis talking well of nouvel horizon on the way they behaved towards them regarding that sad event
if i am not mistaken his death is a bit like the one of cellulaire, somebody looking young and healthy suddenly finding himself spitting blood after hours of feeling discomfort and it was rumoured to be from a love affair issue
