Why it took Emeneya 5 years to release an album. It would have been good to hear Goal Average with Zoé Bella, Swet Elesse and Éric Masudi. I guess Goal Average became Le Jour le Plus Long.

Why it took Emeneya 5 years to release an album. It would have been good to hear Goal Average with Zoé Bella, Swet Elesse and Éric Masudi. I guess Goal Average became Le Jour le Plus Long.

Yes, first announced Le Jour le Plus Long as a EP with 5 songs in 2005. But then changed his mind and decided to record the all the songs he prepared as Avantage ya Goal Average into Le Jour le Plus.

Because of the divorce with Liliane and to restart Victoria Eleison in 2003 after that the most decided to stay in Europe. Then in 2004 they could have recorded Goal Average in UK after receiving visas, but Emeneya himself changed his mind on the last minute because he knew that all musicians would ran away. So they were struggling hard in Kinshasa. Then in 2005 he was finally ready to record that album in Kinshasa, but his label Lusafrica (Sony BMG) decided to stop their contract because of the flop of Nouvel Ordre. Then he was looking months long for a recordlabel in Europe but couldn't find one. Then he found Kiki Toure who accepted to produce the album. With the most part being recorded in Kinshasa with Victoria Eleison and another part in  being done in Paris with Dino Vangu, Faugus Izeidi, Auguy Lutula, Olivier Tshimanga, Willy Ebondaki and co adding just little parts. But the release of that album was delayed for months because of Kiki Toure receiving letters from Emeneya's rival to not release that album and those witchdotors cursing that album so that it would be a flop. I remember Emeneya holding a pressconference in Paris somewhere towards the end of 2006 and then the conference being interrupting by gangmembers who said that they were sent by Koffi, they also said that he had to stop attacking Koffi and they would beat him. It were very difficult moments for Emeneya. When he released the album it was not received on the way he hoped. The album was a succes, but he wanted that the would be a massive succes like those of Werrason and co. With him accusing the members of Victoria Eleison, because Emeneya's will was to record the album in the original style of Victoria Eleisomixed with Tabu Ley's Djoum-style. But his musicians refusing, saying that it was for old people and wanting that Wenge Maison Mere-style. On the end all those musicians ended up by ran away when they came for that Europe-tour in 2008. Emeneya said then they wouldn't listen to his musicians anymore after all that mess with Nouvel Ordre (which had orginally to be a solo album) and Le Jour Le Plus Long with him wanting to go back to his roots of Nzinzi and Everybody. So he planned Match Eza Bien which would become This is Me "Eza Nga" after espacing from the death in 2010.
