Ndombolo - Tutu Calludji. Ekokota barely paticipated, so I consider this a solo atalakou performance.

Titanic - Tutu Calludji

Alphatshino - Kolo Histoire. This generique hit Kin by storm in 2000. All original Kikongo animations when everyone was using mostly the same animations. RIP Le Meilleur Atalakou-Chanteur.

CNN - Attentat. Needs no explanation.

Theo Mbala - Animation. The clip (Defao’s dancing skills) and song was a sensation in Kin & West Africa. Short and to the point

Arafat 2500v - Trop c’est Trop

I feel like I missed a few, but these were the most popular ones back in the day. Please add any you feel are missing.

Tough one, I might lean towards Kolo Histoire because all the animations were original.

^ With the way Celeo talks in his interviews, it's funny how irrelevant he was at times until the Koyimbiko sensation. Bill dominated for years prior. His other breakout performance was his Fara Fara featuring

hmmm best solo performance of an atalaku on a generique? I will go for CNN on Volte Face of Quartier Latin Integral followed by Calugi's Titanic.

there were versions with a better quality but they are all deleted.

Can't forget about Bebe Kerozene's animations from the generique of Wanted by Les Pipiyu de Wenge BCBG!

The way his cries interfaces with the Bic Rouge's slick sebene solo is impressive @ the 4:47 part of the song , plus it never hurts to throw in some wolof in the mix @ the 6:05 part of the song!

I was very impressed at how well he held his own!

To be honest, Celeo already had a small success before Wenge with the Duc Herode album. That animation had Kin on lock for a while.

Of course, after Clinton came, he totally ruled the scene for some years. But Koyimbiko cri - dance was bigger than anything Cliton did. That thing took everyone by storm.
