We've just to wait how his double concerts at Stade Tata Raphael (50.000 seats), Rotana Kin Plaza and Boulevard Triomphale will be. Then we can juge him. It will be a good start for him if he fills the stadium on the two dates. Don't forget that till now none one hasn't performed on his own in a stadium since 2003. I think that its better for Defao to not release now his album Hommage Au Tabu Ley (where sung songs of Mavuela Somo, Papa Wemba, Bipoli Na Fulu, Papa Wemba, Bozi Boziana and Tabu Ley) which he recently recorded in Paris. But record quickly a new album in Kinshasa with Montana, Kabose, Lofombo & Theo Mbala and trying to release it before the end of the year or the start of 2020.

Saying it’s the 5th’s era is baseless since so few are truly active and relevantFactsGuys I hate to burst your bubble but you must understand that Defao has gone since a lot of time and people move on. If the crowd is quickly forgetting JB for not putting an Album im almost 9 years what do you think Defao will get? I mean you all said Rendekita would be this great album and it flopped. You say Koffi lost his way and he always manages to make success throughout Africa and compete with youngsters, ultimately you said everything of Tokos and how Fally lost contact with his crowd (beware I am not in anyway a Fally fan most of you know I am a huge fan of Ferre) but Fally did crazy numbers. I understand that 80's, 90's music were different from the 00's and the 10's but you mut unerstand that people evolve and tend to quiclly forget if you go away or you are not consistent. And unfortunately withall due respect to DefaoI think his album will flopSee the problem with guys like you you all put stardom and relevance and numbers over quality. So you’re saying Rendekita wasn’t a great album cause it was a commercial flop it wasn’t even Blaise’s fault. And you were one of the people screaming the loudest criticising Fally about the Tokos thing. Yes Defao has been gone for a while but it’s wrong to write him off, people have been waiting for him for years and the reception he’s received has been great. I’d rather listen to good music and I’m sorry but none even these guys who are “relevant” or do “crazy numbers” are impressing me right now.

@CM PRINCEI think you're not understanding Manzambi94's point. I was among those that loved Rendekita, but the promotion wasn't behind that album to help it succeed. That's why such quality music has become a rarity in our genre because our artists aren't doing the leg work to promote their music like the younger guys and so what's popular is what has the most sales or Youtube views (Ferre, Fally, Fab, Werra, ect). For people returning from hiatus like Defao or Blasie Bula, they got a buzz because people missed them. But if they don't come with some really good music and an aggressive marketing strategy then that excitement they're currently enjoying will fade. That's the age of the music business we're in right now; sure he's among the best, but what have he done lately?
@mvulusi96You should be managing these artist

General Defao isn't wel managed in my opinion and they doesn't promote him engough on tv and on youtube, he must also have his own Ken Mpiana, Bibi Kapinga, Manicke,.. But it looks like he's blind of the way president Felix Tshisekedi's team is taking care of him. I'm a little bit scared for his first events in Kinshasa. It looks like they didn't prepare his return well compared to King Kester Emeneya in 1997 and Nyoka Longo in 2009.
