As usual he is speaking his mind throughout interview which is not often well seen in DRC
in short he is telling "pastor" denis lessie to stay in his lane and mind church business, them church guys are quick to label them ndoki so why does he get involved in stuff likes album releases  and participates in the unnecessary polemic
and that he should not be on media running his mouth after being in jail for years for quite serious charge but rather coming back quietly with positive message not coming to brag about his versace and all that, and that most of them pastors are messing with people
you have to go their office where they rock the expensive clothes and cars they bought with your money while true preachers should be going towards people so even with those cars they should be going to the most poor areas of kinshasa and spread positive message and help to people but they rather use strategies to make poor people even more poor
and also did not like him saying werra was finished and that it was the time of fally, and he says lessie should leave all those guys he talked about werra jb fally ferre heritier alone, and he is against th way people like to disrespect artists when success is not as crazy as before and thats how a lot of people gave papa wemba and kester fake posthume praise while they were calling the all sorts of names in their last years on eart

at some  point he talked about his album and he says he is not in that logic that he will set the world alight with his album and dominate everybody, all he knows is that he did his best to deliver a strong album with nice rumbas 2 generiques including ebondo and a decale song and he was asked about fans and whether he has a name for his fans like others and he said he has no fans he prefers thinking that he has people who appreciate his music, because he's seen how fans act towards those who have them, they'll be there to  say you did well when you did wrong and defend you against those who think you did wrong and for him thats destroying artists when they have people blindly following them and that for him artists who have fans fool themselves if they take it for granted because there are many cases of fans just moving to the new popping artist, each artist  does not spontaneously create a whole fanbase out of nowhere its always some people coming from somewhere then liking them them some coming and leaving in the long run
among recent releases he said he liked  ferre's generique and heritier's roi manitou aswell as fally's un coup but he refused to comment on the innoss fabregas feat because he does not want to talk about fabregas anymore there is a limit to disrespect which for him fabregas surpassed so he'll just leave it like that  he will talkvery well about those who talk well of him or he'll talk bad back of those who have  bad words at him

He comes across as a logical person. Showing maturity in most of the interviews I watch of him. I don't suppose that's a recipe for success in Congolese music - until there's a change in mentality.

I can't help but think that he just doesn't have what it takes to become bigger than he is now. The voice comparison to Fally doesn't help. But also missing the star factor in my opinion. I find that he doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Thoughts?

He should just stop making interviews and make music that's the problem, or try to establish a fanbase in Europe and especially Africa and try to go the international route, Robinio said it best, Congolese people unfortunately are becoming poorer and sometimes you physically can't perform in Congo because they haven't got the money to give you a good cachet, Deplick is very famous but only in Congo, and he seems to not understand that this in the long run will kill him, he could spend 6 months just in Ivory Coast to promote his album since he have a lot of donors there and Ivorians are like Huge lover of Congolese music, but he seems that he care too much about interviews and not enough Marketing, I mean he should just speak about the music but always speaks about Fabro and things that aren't related to music. And Ex Werrason employées need to stop defending Werra, I mean the guy slapped you like you were a little.kid, what do you get by saying "Okomisa Ya Ngiama Masts nayo" in C'Est La famille (one of his songs in Ouverture) insulting Dennis Lessie for his insults of Werra? Think about you, Maison Mère is a closed chapter you are the big man now think about your career. I am a Werrra and Maison Mère fan but I hate when guys like Deplick, Prince, Brigade, Fabregas etc. Défend Werrra like that especially a guy like Prince who said "I won't go to any group cause I only want Maison Mère" the same year he got left with some bullshit money to bury his late mom and after KaKol sent some Zulus to attack him, I mean why? He wasn't even paid what is the reason of all that love?
