nice to see that a doc is coming out about such a legendary African group it would be nice if you could add English subtitles
@archos @Mfumu Vata: how can I contact major figures of the band? I already know where to talk with Blaise Bula, but if we interview the rest it'll be better.
Thank you for the reply. I'll talk with my collaborators and we'll present the project to several members.I also think it would be difficult to interview major figures (especially JB and Werra) and even wanted to skip them and just use archive footage lol, but I'll hook up with their crews
I used to have the number of Lemich who's close to Marie Paul. But I lost it. To reach JB Mpiana and Werrason is very difficult. But you can try to contact Teddy Mola to come in touch with Ossango who was present during Wenge's first years and who used to manage JB Mpiana's private business and fanclub. He was present during all big events of Wenge 4X4 in Kinshasa, the rivalery with bands like "Il Falait Kaka", "Station Japana", "Lavignora Esthetique", etc., the war againt Wenge El Paris that led Didier Masela, Werrason & JB Mpiana to go to the court against Marie Paul, etc. Also the events during the split. I'm sure that you will also get in touch with Aime Buanga through Ossango. But for Zing Zong it would be to difficult because of his behavior. Alain Makaba & Didier Masela will also be difficult because they don't like to get in touch with people they don't know. Didier Masela can change his mind when he sees money lol or if he knows if you are a muyombe.
I really wished that there was a mini-series like for Wenge Musica on a format like Netflix. It would have to be condensed because of the multiple stories and split factions but it would be a joy to watch if it was well written, produced, and directed.
