i hope mboka mboka is still able to reproduce very high notes live in a couple of months or years if he gets success with all what goes with in some cases (but of course he will be better when his voice matures and he keeps disciplined

Indeed ferre gola is for slow tracks. Play this crap at a function and people will throw beer cans at you. At first I thought the generic was good until at some point it skyrocketed into a confused path until the end. The solo is poor
And the atalaku, who sounds like celeo, has no innovation. This is why I say Fally has a better edge than ferre.

You cant honestly compare lubukulukumu to this. Ferres best generic in his career is lubukulukumu. Period.

This is one of the 2 generiques, most likely the 2nd generique, am impressed with the overall arrangement but am not happy with the new ataluku who is imitating Bercy, he should have done his own thing. Kunzardo the tenor ataluku and the female ataluku Ruth Nzele have done their work though. Am also glad Hadji Solo kept the flame burning! Let's wait for the 1st generique before we judge.

I don't what you're talking because Ferre does more rhumbas then sebene but he has produced some very good sebene in albums and concerts and Hadji Solo did a very good job on this generique and Kunzardo(the animator who sounds like Celeo) just confirmed why he is called General Etumba.

Comme Au Lion did not imitate Bercy, that's his real voice and style of animation and last time I checked Ferre brought him to replace Bercy.

Pierrefeliex, forget about Charly Solo, it's Hadji Solo who played both generiques and am glad Ferre followed advice of his fans, Charly was a let down on the two previous albums.
Soloing is not about having a crisp clear tone but creativity, Hadji is way better and that's why he's taken over, even at concerts Hadji is playing a lot more, I can't be surprised and infact it will be a blessing in disguise should Charly go to Maison Mere as rumoured, maybe that's another reason he's been sidelined completely.

Hey......relax. This is probably a zero draft of the generique. Do you really think Ferre with his super hot clue can release this staff as their final generique 2? Relax Ferre is miles better and we expect sweet and land mark work by Hadji solo....something like Japonaise on Ndombolo, Kapaya  on Sou sol and Bikorino on Muselu, Tempo, Asoukuba. This is a zero draft coz apart from Kunzardo's new p.....something call which was consumed in his many stories with other atalukus commenting on whatever they feel like.

Charly Solo is not coming to WMM. The team is intact. Where would he play? We have Makaba on the lead and Mongratana, Mayi Ndombe, Dadi Bola, Koko Payi and the other guy from Mvulusi. There is only one guy who is needed in WMM from Ferre's band and that's Kunzardo because our tenor atalukus are weak (Diego and Herritier). In all these other positions we are very tight.

The idiot is just imitating Bercy, he's a waste of time too, even Ruth Nzele and the other tenorist ataluku have done well.
When someone is brought to replace someone it's to fill a position not necessarily to imitate, the person that steps in should ensure they beat the previous person that held that seat but so far from this Generique  Comme au Lion or whoever he is has done fuckall!!

SLY we are all not like that I may not be a fan of Ferre's music but it has nothing to do with Fally because I like other artists too. I'll listen to this generique when I get home and maybe it's the one.

I am not at all surprised that you are easily pleased by this shoddy production....such is the decline of Congolese music & that is why I'm no longer bothered with the noise being produced nowadays.

Werrasonique, on the contrary am not actually not so impressed by this generique, it's still below par, Lubukulukumu and Sens Interdit remain the best he's done so far. This one is just as good as kibombanda.
I am waiting for the main generique before I judge properly if Ferre has totally failed but so far yes I know he's struggling in the ataluku section and that affects the quality of the sebene.

Having watched several rehearsals and live concert dvd's showing Charly Solo, I know for a fact that he is very skilled quite alright and he would fit in well at Maison Mere because he's got Flamme Kapaya's style though he doesn't create as many guitar partitions, he likes repeating the same partitions,I think it's because the atalukus themselves at Ferre's band also repeat the same stuff, atalukus normally drive the sebene so the instrumentalists play along to the atalukus calls.

comeon you cannot compare charly to flamme kapaya ,flamme is on another level skills and creativity hes very powerful on solo on the other hand charly is very skilled on guitar too but hes not creative at all hes been on the same level for years

Pierrefelix, I have not compared Charly Solo to Flamme,if Charly played exactly like Flamme then I would be stupid to even wish that he leaves Ferre's band.
What I said is that Charly plays Flamme Kapaya's style of soloing but he's not creative, he repeats the same. Partitions and that's his own problem otherwise he's good and never makes mistakes with the notes when playing and he's got that crisp clear tone when he plays which they love at Wenge Maison Mere so all he needs is to create more partitions and I think he will now that he's realised that Hadji is a major threat.
Charly lost his position as Chef d'orchestre and now he has lost his place as lead soloist on the maxi single so he's definitely worried, if he doesn't pull up his socks then soon he'll be out of the band, its inevitable.

EMO, in as much as I agree that congolese music has gone to the dogs, I refuse to hibernate and avoid it like you and Werrasonique.
This is the music I have grown up listening to and because I am not a musician I have to take it as it comes.
Yes, am not so impressed with the arrangement but in my opinion this generique is better arranged than the Boite Noire generique. Unlike the usual arrangement, it's started out on a slow note before firing into proper sebene and it's  short and straight to the point, the atalukus could have done better but overall the quality is good so there's progress.

This is only the second of two generiques from the maxi single and I cannot rubbish the maxi single or Ferre's generiques simply because of this one generique, am waiting for the full album and even if it's not as good I will continue listening to Ferre and others' music. You and me know that this generique is even better than what JB gave us on Soyons Serieux which has now gone with the wind so let's dance to what we have.

Come on guys this generique is fire!!!!!!!!!!!!! I cant stop dancing. I had it played in a pub all night. I was dancing Kunzardo's dance and couldn't see where I was going since I had to bend and sort of lose balance. By the time I realised I had to change to a new dance I hit into a table and fell flat on the ground. As I lay on the ground the other ataluku's calls were slowly persuading me into sleep, I however resisted and stood up to continue my partying even if other patrons who don't appreciate good generiques deserted the pub and left me alone with the DJ whom I had paid to play it the whole night.

Its a good generique. Others will like it but not everyone will like it. Its like food.....what you like shouldn't be standard for everyone. Viva Ferre...Viva werrasinho (young werrason).

Because you can't talk about two people in  the same context and not compare them, your whole point is a comparison but you claim it isn't. Just an observation.

I will excuse you if you didn't see the original post which Pierrefelix misquoted me on. I was talking about Charly Solo fitting in well at maison mere where soloists are required to play Kapaya's style so I said this ''Having watched several rehearsals and live concert dvd's showing Charly Solo, I know for a fact that he is very skilled quite alright and he would fit in well at Maison Mere because he's got Flamme Kapaya's style though he doesn't create as many guitar partitions, he likes repeating the same partitions,I think it's because the atalukus themselves at Ferre's band also repeat the same stuff, atalukus normally drive the sebene so the instrumentalists play along to the atalukus calls.''
I hope this is clear enough for you to understand the context in which Flamme Kapaya's name came into the conversation, never jump into conclusions, in literature, we read books from the beginning as that is the only way you can understand the full story it's unlike science text books, the dictionary  or the bible where you can read from whichever point you like in order to understand something.

This generic started all well with the sweet voice of ferre and his singers and the accampanying sebene. It started exactly like nyokas petit ya quartier and then boom, some kind of werrason like sebene but with a lesser solo in quality. Then it skyrocketed into a very bad path up to its demise. I do not gate ferre, but I hate to see that he never learnt how to arrange sebene while in wenge. I compare him to fally because that is his age group and competitor.  Fally may be a bit monotonous with the oriengo like rythm, but all in all or on avarage, his sebens take people to the
Dance floor. Not this crap by ferre.

Indeed, it's a good generique considering that it's very danceable and its a pure generique compared to some we've been treated to which lack solo guitar and too long for nothing.

Yeah, keep listening to Fally then, let those of us who enjoy straight up sebene enjoy, we don't want the oriengo nonsense that you enjoy and yes we are happy with 3 or 4 atalukus, we don't need 8 atalukus and 15 minute useless sebenes.
You've been saying Ferre just does rhumbas and generiques without singing a bit, this time he does something different, he starts by singing before going into sebene you still complain, what do you want, he's not Fally and he's not JB or Werra,he's Ferre, it's his style and he has his fans. :)

skyrocketed into a very bad path up to its demise. I do not gate ferre, but I hate to see that he never learnt how to arrange sebene while in wenge. I compare him to fally because that is his age group and competitor.  Fally may be a bit monotonous with the oriengo like rythm, but all in all or on avarage, his sebens take people to the

Play toi et moi in any pub, and they will flock like birds on the danceflow. Here in Zambia, toi et moi is being danced to every night. I criticise based on facts not hate. Even hustler is back is better than our generic under discusion.

Well said...in zambia, it had to be in Zambia...Toi et Moi or any of Kosa leka generique doesn't get played or people even request for it here in the UK and when it does and i mean when it gets played you will only see one or two faggots or a drunk on the dancefloor making a fool of themselves ;D ;D...then again most people here praise any generique that has loud solo guitar and they immediately say its the best generique ever

I have learnt a few things from this generique. This is a typical Ferre generique and he won fans by doing this and his type of songs. Album after album its the same. His fans love this and defend him and dont apreciate critics that much.....l hope the same approach will work with other artists. Not a situation wereby when its Ferre its all sweet but when its Wazekwa then we spend the whole month shooting it down and urging his fans not to support blindly

Ye.. there's definitely a massive bias when it comes to this issue, I'm a fan but i'm not liking his direction. Seems to me like a downward spiral his most recent work with  exception of rhumbas doesn't compare well with his previous.  :'(

Valetino, I don't know what you're talking about because Fally has made better generiques then Droit Chemin like Hustler is back and La Jungle.

You're essentially comparing them....
English not my first language and so is the case for most of us here but I think I have clearly explained my point so why you choose to cut out part of my explanation only is what I don't understand,if that's your translation then it's fine,go with it if it pleases you mzee.
Lol Sly isn't English the national language of Zambia or maybe your not from the city and English wasn't really spoken over there where you're from.

Not that I don't understand or Speak English well, I know it very well. The guy was just trying to lecture me, it is fine. This is trivial matter and I wanted to close it by repeating my original statement as the guy clearly did not understand what I had said when I mentioned the name Flamme Kapaya.

Regarding the language used in Zambia, yes, English is the official language as we have more than 70 native languages in Zambia, each region or province has a different language or dialect.

The Droit Chemin generique was better arranged than whatever else he's released after Droit Chemin infact the whole album remains his best so far, there was no monotony.
