Franco and M'Pongo Love, first Congolese artists to use the synthesizer
Franco released Na Lingaka Yo Yo Te in 1980.



M'Pongo Love's album "La Voix La Plus Limpide du Zaïre" which includes Rebe was also released in 1980.
