I see that many nganga’s ended up getting disappointed by Marie Paul’s decisions about money. Tay say that Werrason is stingy, but he always pays tribal chiefs, spiritual leaders and those working in the admin.

Wenge El Paris missed multiple opportunities because of Manda Chante’s decisions. I am surprised to hear that Manda was the one behind the conflict of Savanet Depitcho against Jus d’Ete Mulopwe and that he planned with Depitcho to form a band. So Depitcho left El Paris to form a band waiting Manda Chante to join him, but Manda not making any declaration in the press ? Manda also not joining Maison Mère and Depitcho then later joining Quartier Latin after weeks spending home.

Manda should of joined Masion Mere, he would have benefited from taking Adiani's absence as tenorist. However, I remember you said that he made too many demands for payment and that the group didn't want him.

But he should have known that it was nearly impossible to manage a solo career, especially at that time.

Aimelia already took Adjani’s spot and benefited from it when he joined.

About Manda Chante joining Maison Mère, Hassan was talking about the start of it in 1997 when Wenge 4x4 in 1997. In my opinion Manda Chante did it well to stay, because otherwise we would not hear the hitsongs Kanda Ngobila and Hommage Doudou Niwa and him not being voted ‘best singer of the year’ for the second year in a row. With Couvre Feu Manda received more respect after the huge succes of Ibrahim. Jus d’Ete joined Maison Mère, but he wasn’t getting a lot space and even received the label of faux chanteur like the way Depitcho received in Quartier Latin, something that would chance in Les Marquis. Bon, we Will never know how Manda’s career would have been in Maison Mère.

In 2000, when he already started his solo-career, he was approached by Werrason and asked him if he could sing in Kibuisa Mpimpa and that he would sign with JPS once being in Europe, which Manda accepted. He was about to travel as a ngulu along with Blaise Bula and  to be guest at Werra’s Bercy. But I don’t what happened to Blaise and Manda to not ending up at Bercy. Later on Manda managed to get in Europe on his own through Mova Sakani (who was close to LD Kabila) and he met Werrason. They talked about their project of Kibuisa Mpimpa, there were also rumors about him joining Wenge Maison Mère in Europe, but  for whatever reasons he didn’t sing on Kibuisa  (some say that it was because of Ferre) and he didn’t sign with JPS Production like the press said at that time. Manda then just came as a guest during Maison Mère last concert in Paris before them returning to Kinshasa

People considered Jus d’Ete a faux chanter? He was a better singer than Depitcho. Compared to Serge Mabalia, Ferre Gola, and Baby Ndombe, I guess I can understand.

Do you think Werrason sabotaged Manda's deal with JPS Production?

lol 12 ya wenge esalaki for  manda,i cant say that its 100 per cent true but what i heard then was that when nsone heard the contract manda could get, knowing how talkative manda can be he was influenced by his staff that manda would become big headed and disrespect him like he used to do at times in 4X4 already so he has to do what he can to block it
he had to touch money aswell for the feat,i believe after talking with ba kolo mouvement (eliott, biblos and co ) he decided that the easiest option was to say that singers were against his participation and ferre's name was used since he was indirectly the "heir" of manda as THE new tenor young people would follow, while ferre always wanted to test himself against manda and great singers in general
otherwise ferre's opinion alone was not enough to make werra make such an important decision otherwise werra would have removed kakol when ferre and kakol had issues if ferre was that powerful or he'd had hijacked the way heritier was programmed to unsettle him

Many fans of Wenge Maison Mère used to see him as a faux chanteur. Just being there for the aesthetic of the stage. It's only from Examen that people slowly started to respect him, which was back then voted as 3th song of the year behind Jipson's Biblia and Reddy's Assistant Social. If I remember well, Sankara once said that they tried Jus d'Ete Mulopwe to test on JB's vocals, but him not being able to hit the high notes. Him saying that they just accepted him because of his looks and the name he already had because of his past with El Paris.

It's crazy to say, but back in the days people were respecting Depitcho before him joining Quartier Latin. He used to have strong aura, I guess because of his many tv-appearance to promote El Paris and having spent more time in Kinshasa than Jus d'Ete Mulopwe who came 2 years later after being convinced by Marie Paul to return which was a huge mistake. Back then Depitcho hadn't the label of faux chanteur, his succes even grew more after Armageddon (Le Monde Envers) with his songs Willy Musheni & One Way. It's when joining Quartier Latin, people criticizing that his voice didn't fit to the band and him having made a mistake of wearing uniforms like the other members while having the reputation of being a "grand sapeur". Then the Academia-guys killing his reputation by imitating his voice hahahaha and later after his departure being killed by Mamale, Fally and Champion for his voice. From that era getting the label voix chanteur and making the mistake to associate himself with JF Ifonge to form a band. JF Ifonge also having the label of faux chanteur. This made people give them the label of non-singers/dancers coming from Europe and Depitcho having lost all his credibility when their band already split before even starting. People seeing as people that aren't serious after having talking to much on tv.
