My lord Lola messing up the chorus again, it seems that Koffi muted BB Jitrois (good) and Mon Ami Guelord's mics, you can't even hear them or its just that Lola was too loud. I didn't even recognise Mon Ami Guelord he's been eating good in US lol.

But Koffi needs to stop being cheap and start bringing his musicians from Kin.. enough is enough, this Latino Fashion isn't working.

I thought that Lola Muana changed. Because there was an interview where he said that in Zaiko he stopped singing high and that they teached him singing 2ème voix. It could also be that Koffi was liking that and requesting him to do that. Remember the way Jipson said that Koffi was missing him in Gabon back in 2001, when he brough Paparazzi instead of Jipson. While Jipson is like Lola horrible in the chorus when he sings high.

The rise of Manda Chante and Babia Ndonga messed a whole generation up. Many singers at that time thinking that you are the best when the sings high. Alot who were already singing high starting to scream and those who were meant to sing 2ème voix escaping their natural voice to sing high.

Leopards never change their spots, he will never change. I had flashbacks of their LSC concert in 2000 when I watched this concert.

I felt sorry for the things Koffi did to him until he left. But on the other side I was a little happy, because the chorus became better, only Jipson being there to mess it up.

The chorus of LSC was horrible. I remember Martin Sinnock saying that he was missing the Academia guys and he also talked about Lola but I don’t remember if it was positive or not, also that his dad died. There were also concerts where it was total chaos when the mic of Jordan Kusa, Soleil Wanga and Montana being to high and mixing it with Lola and Jipson. No any harmony being there.

Don't forget about the Zulu/Kuluna's crashing the concert/anniversary mid-way with Koffi cutting out in his V12 Mercedes ;D ; those were the days. It seems right after the Bercy concert, Koffi let loose for a bit - having rather unorganized concerts that summer still later that year.

Man I miss Muana Machete's site - He helped move me from being just a listener to knowing what's going on behind the scenes and having heads up on  uncoming albums right from the source... none of the soi-disant porte-paroles we have now making noise

Dindo died a little over 1 month later I believe - so the comment was mostly stating that this is his son and I believe he also wasn't too big of a fan of his singing voice in comparison to Dindo

Lol I myself I am guilty of that, 1ere voix are just something else with that said, Jipson? Tbh from his vocals in his time with Koffi especially Skol Longitima he seems pretty talented have you get examples where he fuck up the choir? Tbh Lola Muana, I have never understood why he sings like that and what he says about Zaiko it is just weird because here he sings exactly with the same goat tone he had in QL

3:36

Talking about Lola, did his father left him a good amount of money, land or whatever, that he could comfortably live his life with? Because I don't understand him going with QL and then also with Zaiko the stingiest group ever if he had the money to do something else, other then music

Why tf is he singing like that? It is not even going 1ere or 2eme voix it is just being off-key, he is trying to do a vocal sounding higher then everybody but then fucking it up because he is sounding off-key and also out of his natural self, not even trying to go higher but even fucking up his 2eme voix type, it was evident that the guy drank hella alcohol, it is a miracle Koffi didn't beat him lol, Micro got really ruined

There's no example needed just all concerts from Babia's and Mustapha's departure until Ferre's arrival. It was always a battle of Lola Muana against Jipson about who could sing the highest. Jipson was thinking that he was Babia by singing that high in the chorus while he wasn't.

Jipson isn't a faux chanteur. He had good vocals, but when doing the chorus in the concerts than its a different story. I dont know if really watch/hear concerts of Quartier Latin during Fally's era. The chorus they were doing in the studio isn't the same like that of concerts.

Dindo Yogo didn't left anything. His solo-career wasn't going well. He needed rest after going through surgery, but was eager to go back to Kinshasa to get money and promote his new album+ D'Amour. When being in Kin his head vein got open because of singing (I don't know if I translated it well), the doctors in Kinshasa didn't now what to do because of not being specialised in it and than he passed away. Lola Muana did everything on his own to burry him and organising the mourning.
