Actually, this is fairly decent. Better than Nyataquance

Its decent although it used some of the same stuff from nyataquance. Is this generique going to be a part of an upcoming album or something?

Tough crowd kiekie; in comparison to his recent works this is alright. Bass and guitar tuning is on point; Mukusa ya Mbwa is ok

That being said, I prefer Norbat de Paris’ générique, which kinda sad because he’s not even a dedicated musician

Koffi should just stop doing animations and just let his atalakus do the work, I mean what are they there for? I can’t lie I really thought It would turn into an aggressive sebene but then I remembered it’s 2019 not 2001

As I said before, most people of my age don't know or appreciate music one bit. That is truth.

Actually it is a very good song but the only issue is the lack of solo guitar but the old Koffi is coming back slowly and gradually. Just be happy that he finally listened to his fans.

Next generique needs more solo guitar like Jour de Joie had with its sebene.

So what he repeats the rhythm. I prefer a artist to stay to his sound than do rubbish. Like I said, most people especially my generation don't know what music actually is.

I am dancing. Koffi, keep going, you are going into the Koffi we actually appreciate. Also, he used less autotune which is a good sign.

Being a big Koffi fan myself, I knew for a fact that I would slip into already liking the song and repeating it! When I first heard it, I didn't know what to think of it. Génériques are meant to be dancey and fun to swing your hips to. This one made me think "Hmmmmm". Although Jour De Joie was not a générique, it was 10 times better than Papa Nguasuma!

Things I liked about Papa Nguasuma:
1. The fact that the "Elengi Ya Limbondo" animation with Mukusa Ya Mbua was actually laid down after hearing a snippet of it on Youtube as of March 2018.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b3Rark337oE

2. Volcan's memorable solos. Not like the one that are super complicated with fast tremolo notes to try and sound unique (No shade)

3. The fact that Koffi sings on his Génériques.

4. Cindy isn't on it

Lastly, the energy that comes from saying "NA SE!"

What I don't like about Papa Nguasuma:
1. The response of "Eh Mboka Ezalaka Boye" from the Quartier Latin ensemble was slightly cropped out at the start. [3:36 mark]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4mXPHFZdyGU

2. Waaaay too much shouting. It was like listening to Lautre Là! With the whole AAAARRRGGHH! sounds at the start as if my man was trying to push out a hard poo.

3. The fact that this générique still has the same old guitar-line from Piscicoles Club (A.K.A the forgotten générique) on the 13eme Apotre album [From 1:22] (Along with Nyataquance, Charisme and Papa Mobimba) There should be more creative solos because if you ask me, since Selfie and Tournevis, many of these génériques are sounding the same! Same key, same couple of dances. Like they're great but... take me onto another level! This is why I'll always prefer any of Koffi's 2000's works to today. THERE WAS PROPER ENERGY AND CHOREO.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVVoR9CceFI

Lastly, Mukusa Ya Mbwa should've had more time on the song. A générique, or a sebene alone should be a song where the atalaku present's their skills to the max!

What could be better?
1. Maybe a chord change.
2. More atalaku presence than just Koffi all the time.
3. New guitar solos (Or just change the soloist)
4. I don't even know. But that's it.

Apparently she became or is becoming “sœur en-christ” (born again), so she could be leaving secular music. Who knows

Judging on persistance and creativity - Koffi Olomide is the best Musician to ever come from Africa (from 90s till todate he is relevant, good videos and good music) I dont know of any other musician who can or who has done that.

At this point I feel like he’s putting out music just to put out music. There’s nothing special about this song. The same guitar licks from Nyaquatance and that “Mboka ezalaka boye” chant is unoriginal. Plus, I’m having difficulty taking a 60+ year old man prancing around with his pants hanging off his ass seriously.

Guys. Koffi like JB and Werra amd many old guys doesn't need ti proif anything to anyone. Between the three Koffi is the most "IDGAF" so he will keep posting this style of generique. I don't think he is doing it fir the Congolese fans but for Ivoirians and especially Zambians, Kenyans and Zimbabweans who love this "new" style of Koffi. I mean this guy have written Loi album and gave back to back to back to back classics. Youare asking a Washington Wizards's Michael Jordan to win another threepeat give him a break.

If he is fine with his pants sagging to his knees, I think he does not give a fuck what you think Sir. It is his pants, It is his ass and he is okay with it so why not look for 60-year-old men with their pants up to their armpits and be okay with.....its a free world bruh

You have a point. Someone in here a while back can't remember who that was, said that Koffi is a businessman and I said that's true. Koffi understands the need and demands of this generation. Aparently speaking of Kenya, more of Koffi's recent songs dominate airwaves. He understands that the era of puting too much into a song is gone and even when you put much there is no price to it. He understands that this is the era of DJ Arafat that admitted on live TV that he sings what he doesn't know. Bula,Reddy,Karmapa,Ibrator and few others have tried to remain original to the essence of rhumba but they struggle to get to the big stage. When everyone else played Koyimbi Ko was it monotonous? Let him promote this partition because people love it.

Just like I don’t give a fuck what YOU think. This is MY opinion on an opinionated platform. Really??? You’re right he has that right and I have a right not to take him seriously,  say he looks stupid. I’m not gay, I don’t want to watch his ass crack.

So this is what this forum has become? People don’t agree with you and their favorite artists, they take offense, get confrontational and hurl insults. Roger that...

@Bilele, this is what guys don't get. While am a Koffi fan, I have not enjoyed his music since Danger de Mort save for a few rhumbas that cannot even be more than 10. Still, I appreciate the fact that there are millions who enjoy this 'crap' that Koffi is singing nowadays and he also knows that and caters to those exact needs. There was a lot of noise here how Caligula, Rendekita and Je Suis(Socrate) were gonna be big because they were 'pure'. Where did those albums go while Koffi's Papa Ngwasuma 'trash' is being danced to in parties all over here with only days in the market.

Guys thats just a character in action - if the song requires the pants to be sagging let them be, thats Koffi Olomide not Antoine Agbepa...... Koffi Olomide is a character just like movie stars we cant lose respect for them because they are running around naked in movies.....its the Director's call and the character has act and dress accordingly.
