Papy Jah decision to leave Quartier Latin was smart, remember what happened to Mustapha or Depitcho Savanet? When your bandmates are forced by the leader to have you around, then you're at risk of sabotage.

Deo Brando and Ramazani were the only new members from Effrakata that got proper exposure from their time with Quartier Latin, while Paparazzi Toto and Michaux Chamberton barely appeared in clips and never got thwir own songs despite the space they got on albums. Why did Koffi even bother recruiting them? Where are they now?

The same happened when Ferre Gola joined, many QL-members hurted very hard. With Deo, Fofo, Chamberton & Ramazani leaving the band and formed a band called Le Chicmen. But the band didn't last long, because of Deo leaving the band and going to solo carreer.

I think that Koffi want Chamberton and Paparazzi to singing only 2 or 3 songs, because everybody in Quartier Latin had more space on Affaire d'état. In Effrakata Chamberton singing 4 songs (Suivez le guide, Medecin de nuit, Gilba & Tabou Fatou), he also sung in the chorus.
That’s not true. Deo, Fofo, Chamberton and Ramazani were long gone by the time Ferre arrived, they were already gone for a year by the time Ferre arrived. They only performed with him when Koffi, Ferre and Titina came for some concerts with them being joined by Soleil.

At the same time Koffi contacted 3 leaders of Academia to give them back (except Sam).

Why bringing those old old threads back ?

Chamberton & Paparazzi didn’t sing alot on Affaire d’Etat because they rejoined Quartier Latin in Europe while Affaire d’Etat was prepared in Kinshasa (songs, vocals, etc.). Paparazzi rejoined, because there weren’t activies anymore in Victoria Eleison and he didn’t want to do those jobs. Chamberton rejoined because Koffi asked him to do that, since that people kept wondering who his vocals did (many people didn’t know Chamberton, because of being absent in the Effrakata-clips) and kept asking Koffi who he was.

So sad that Papy Bastin left the band 9 months after the release of this album due to leadership-issues with Oxygene. It would have been nice if they recorded a second album together. They were ahead Extra Musica and came with something fresh and new with people started to be a little bit tired of Extra.

Mannn Rossen was so obsessed with imitating Soleil Wanga. Why couldn't he sing with his normal voice like Dede Djascko. I didn't like him already from the start when I heard his vocal in Redoutable of Extra Musica.

The rumba of Tapis Rouge (and also Elevation Totale of Patrouille des Stars) was recorded in Dakar at Youssou Ndour's studio because of drum programing.
