yeah exactly i always said to myself the day a spot is available for solo in maison mere it would be either alfred or mayi ya nkamba but i think alfred will not accept leaving session work, the guy plays easily 20 albums every year in studio,be it "popular" music or gospel and gets paid as a session artist i doubt he'll accept going back to groups where weeks and months can be extremely different money wise

Good afternoon Archos? Any latest on Mayi ya Kamba? Looks like WMMM fans want him to join only if Bill is OK with the move as they don't want any polemique with former band members. While he left Bill a long time ago, they still feel the move needs Bill's blessings. I saw pictures of him doing video for Morote, are they true or edited?

I read somewhere that the return of Sarah Solo is a huge possibility if Mayi ya Kamba does not join. An hour ago, Alex Ntima who is very close to Werrason shared a video wishing her a happy birthday and calling her "Le Princess de Werrason"...something they were all avoiding a few weeks ago.

Then I also read somewhere that Kimbangu Solo would love to work with Werrason on Morote album though not permanently rejoining as he makes more money in Europe.

Alfred solo is so good! I would prefer him over Sarah and Mayi ya Kamba.

What do these guys left in London do? Look for a job in London? Most likely a menial job? Is that better than being in Werrason's band?

What is Cafe Roum & Makaba doing in London?

Yes working in some good hotel or being a driver for a good company in London can earn you more than being in any band in Congo. Some of these basic jobs actually pay more than most high paying jobs in Africa. I have a friend who is Director of  a department in a big INGO, the wife who works for a hotel in London as a chef earns more than him. The downside is that it is also expensive out there but these guys rent places as a group and hence share accommodation, bills and food costs. However, it eats into time they need to invest in building their music careers. Hence Caferoum really needs to quickly get back after raising some money, otherwise he will mess up his career if he gets comfortable playing once in a while in clubs and parties.

I think Merveille Ya Mado formerly of Villa Nova is a dance instructor.
Any videos of the guys who have remained in Europe?

Do you still believe that working for Congolese groups is something that can get you money? Fame surely but money? They are better off doing menial jobs and get paid 8 to 15 euro per hour then to stay in whatever group and being paid 100 a month if they are lucky.
