There's a difference between knowing and thinking that you know ;) but then again you are entitled to your opinion just don't force it on us.......... If Werra can air a teenager's tryout why not Daddy's, something is a miss.
Point taken,it's never my intention to force my opinions on others but as this is an open forum, I find it rather wrong that talented and proven soloists like Dady are slandered by people who don't even listen to the music by the band Dady plays for so you wonder how they come up with their opinions.

As for Werra deciding not to air Dady's audition, it could be for personal reasons, maybe he had not yet spoken with Papa Wemba as he gets on well with Papa Wemba and doesn't want to upset him, we don't know as Dady's departure from Viva hasn't been announced till we saw that photo of him at La Zamba, it is a recent photo and It confirms he had auditioned but as to why it's not been shown on the programme Zamba Zamba, only Werra and his management know.

Sly, I have listened to bana molokai and I am sure what I am saying has little margin of error. Do not underestimate that I have never listened to papa wemba. That's why I gave an example of the song maria. Please listen to this featuring of bola at bcbg were jb refused fans requests because of maisha contract. Bola is a makaba, roga roga, patou, ficarre, japonaise like giutarist. Not the madness that werrason looks for. So bwana twalyumfwa music, teimwe mweka.

You are contradicting yourself, Japonais was recently with Werra, Ficare and Patou are not in the same level with Makaba and Roga roga, show some respect to them, they are not in the same league. Its not true that Werra is looking for madness, it is what is available in the market, all leaders would cherish to have somebody like Makaba and Roga, but where are they?

It seems you're failing to understand what I have been saying. Let me repeat.

Yes Dady Bola, Roga Roga, Makaba,Ramazani and others play clean solo whilst Werrason prefers aggressive and rough solos, it's a matter of choice by the respective soloist, they are experienced and can play like Kapaya if they want. I do not dispute the fact that you've listened Viva's music but I don't think you've listened enough of Viva's music to have a good judgement and I say so based on what you've said about Papa Wemba. I would also cite the examples of Ferre's musicians, you always dismiss anything by Ferre's band so how can you convince me that you've listened properly to the music of Papa Wemba or Ferre if you dismiss them and when we post anything about them all you say in the post is ''boring'' for example.

Which Maria song are you talking about? I have just checked, I have about 3 songs with the title Maria by Papa Wemba namely Maria, Maria Valencia and Maria Cherie and all of them have no sebene.

In the video you've reposted above showing Dady Bola playing with BCBG, he was playing Titanic and Somo Trop guitar partitions, the original songs have clean solo partitions so how do you expect Dady to play them in Kapaya's style? his got his own style and he knew he was at BCBG, they have their own style there too.

Let's curtail the debate and wait for a video showing him playing at Maison Mere and possibly if he records anything with Maison Mere, that will be the best time to debate.

Here I do not agree with you on Patou Solo, he's a young guitarist with immense talent and is definitely at Makaba and Roga Roga's level even the tone and precision with which he hits the notes be it in sebene or rhumbas is just as Makaba and Roga Roga's but off course we have different ears lest am accused of trying to force my opinions on others. ;D

Sly.........my brother from Zambia, learn to agree with somebody at least once. Daddy bola may play werrasons prefered style but what I am saying is he is best suited for bcbg style, read my BOLD. Listen to my clip above and argue if that is what jb does not prefer in his structure.

What makes you say he's best suited for BCBG style? To me, he's best suited at Maison Mere because at BCBG he may be asked to tone down a bit just like Patou has been asked to.

The clip you've posted means nothing, he was playing BCBG's style, his style is slightly more aggressive than the boring stuff you find on the Titanic which he was playing above.

The point am trying to reiterate is that Dady Bola can play any style even Kapaya's style, he's shown us that before,i posted several examples of Viva songs but you've ignored them and choosing only the one showing his BCBG concert appearance where he was not actually auditioning but playing a BCBG song in BCBG's style. I repeat, let's wait to see him playing with Maison Mere before we continue this debate.
