It's been very difficult to understand what he wanted to say in this interview because he was mixing French and lingala and he was so angry and has called Koffi so many names.
I have understood his point that Cindy Le Coeur and Meje30 did not differ over Koffi neither did Koffi prefer Cindy, it's Meje30 who lacked confidence when given vocals by Suzuki who was Chef D'orchestre at the time Meje and Cindy joined Quartier Latin. I have also understood that he wrote quite a number of songs even on Koffi's solo albums which Koffi changed titles and credited himself instead of crediting Suzuki and never even paid Suzuki anything etc

I have also understood the point he stresses about having named Koffi's band Quartier Latin that's why he says it's his band(Suzuki)

Please archos translate the rest especially the parts he stresses in French.

he says he joined quartier latin aged 16 andkoffi did a lot for him, making him a popular figure but his attitude is very sztrange towards his ex musicians
he sings everyday about love but does not love his former musicians and keep talking bad about him
he wonders if koffi is a normal human because they have given him all the love they could and he keeps loving to humiliate them
apart that,he adds that if koffi continues like that people would be surprise with how him the calm suzuki can be agressive and he will have no mercy for him
respect goes in both ways and it hurts him that koffi disrespects many of his ex-members especially him
about the songs,he said he had minimum 9 songs which were unfairly credited to koffi

I feel  sympathies for Suzuki, he is a disillusioned man. I personally I have loved koffi more than any other musician from Congo but now since I joined this forum have heard much about him that makes he think otherwise, including that issue of witchcraft and even allegation of having sex with dead bodies.archos if you could meet Suzuki, tell him a man never wanes for too long, he can move on with his carrier without having to think about koffi olomide. Let him do his own.

Most of the things Suzuki said are actually true.
Koffi has a problem with almost all male musicians who have left his band apart from Ferre. Koffi is quite bitter. Suzuki is not the only former QL member who has spoken ill of koffi, it's not very long since Sam Tshintu showed his digust for koffi live on tv. Koffi was saying no one has the right to sing Quartier Latin songs at their concerts apart from ''his best singer so far Cindy'' so that really upset all his former musicians. Sam Tshintu and many others said Koffi seems to forget easily who helped him to get to where he is, who toured with him most since he's only toured with Cindy and released an album with her recently.

if koffi did not or does not attack ferre, ferré can thank wrestler edingwé
this is pure masolo ya kati(private info) koffi plannned to harm ferré seriously with witchcraft unless ferre came and aoplogized to himn, and on legal field also had file a complaint for a process against ferré
its edingwe who took ferre to koffi's house so that they could find a peaceful solution,he did a similar thing between the very same koffi and wazekwa back in the years

Voila. I think Ferre is the only one who probably apologised coz Koffi actually even sued him(Ferre) in the courts when he left Quartier Latin.

What? this leaves me with a thousand dollar questions in my mind. first what was the situation like when these guys were leaving QL? archos would you help me understand the circumstances that led to their depature? Have always asked myself the relationship between koffi and ferre.

What? this leaves me with a thousand dollar questions in my mind. first what was the situation like when these guys were leaving QL?.

Well, what I know is that when Ferre left Les Marquis Du Maison Mere, he had set up his band and was busy recruiting and rehearsing with his band when koffi sent his emissaries to stop Ferre from producing his album and join Quartier Latin. In reward for that, it is alleged that Koffi gave Ferre thousands of dollars or about 10,000 Euro, a Mercedes Benz car and given a house and Koffi placed his confidante Zobozi to look after Ferre's personal band for the entire time that Ferre should have have been in contract to perform with Quartier Latin.

Ferre joined Quartier Latin and discovered that actually Koffi Olomide had authorised Fally Ipupa, traditionally Ferre's rival to produce his own album with aid of other Quartier Latin band members so Ferre sought permission from Koffi to continue his work on his own personal album but koffi refused.

Fally finally released his album and it was a great success and it became clear he wasn't returning to Congo as he had travelled to complete the album in Europe and released it from there through David Monsoh's record label OBOUO Music. David Monsoh was previously Koffi's producer and he may have convinced Fally to go solo so that was the end of the relationship between Koffi and Fally and Koffi and David Monsoh.

I believe Quartier Latin was touring Europe at some point and it was there that Ferre decided to stay over and also finally record his album which he had previously started preparing in Kinshasa. He approached Maika Munan who arranged Fally's album to him him finalise his album quickly but Maika refused saying Ferre wanted the album to be completed too early so Ferre had to seek the services of guitarist Picas Mbayo and Olivier Tshimanga who helped him with the arrangements and in no time Ferre recorded the album with help of session artists in Europe and he dropped his album too and failed to return to Congo, it was at that point that it was reported that Koffi sued Ferre Gola for breach of contract. Koffi later withdrew the lawsuit and from then he has been praising Ferre Gola as one of his best ever singer along with his new signing Fabregas who was initially with Wenge Maison Mere.

As regards the other musicians who also left Quartier Latin, it seems they had all decided at that point to leave, if you listen carefully on Fally's album Droit Chemin, you hear Fally say ''Montana Kamenga Conclusho Revenso''  immediately after Montana Kamenga sung his lines on Fally's song ''Associe'' and that came to be the title of Montana Kamenga's album when he finally left Quartier Latin so he may have been recording by the side too.

After the departure of Fally and Ferre, it seems Koffi lost trust in all his older musicians and now started concentrating on his youth band he called ''Les Mineurs Du Quartier Latin'' so the remaining older musicians like Titina,Montana, Jypson Butukondolo also left and dropped their solo albums and that was the end of Quartier Latin.
The remaining older musicians at the time like Shella Mputu also left quietly. Jitrois Mingongo who was ''stolen'' from Werrason initially remained and mixed with the younger musicians but he was suspended and he also quit and went solo.

you summed it up well sly
but ferre himself also said koffi was not paying him anymore for months after hearing he was doing some songs programing in brussels  to prepare his album so since koffi did not pay him he did not see the point of coming to concerts anymore
the sum koffi paid to ferre or at least promised him is much much higher than that
the sum was well over 10 thousand and koffi  payed half and said to ferre when he was fully integrated in the group you will get the rest if you renew your contract as he saw fally was close to moving he did not want to lose both at the same time and had ferré stayed he would become the chef d'orchestre

Thanx archos. It would have been interesting had Ferre gone back to QL and become Chef D'orchestra, he hardly spent time with Koffi that's why most journalists tell Koffi that Ferre was never a member of Quartier Latin due to the short time he spent there.

archos and DJ SLY thank you very much gentlemen. So its koffi who authorized Fally to go ahead to do his own album? 10,000 euros could be little for ferre I guess, did koffi take back the house after ferres departure?

At the time it was good money as Ferre was just starting as a solo artist and he needed that money having just left Les Marquis where he had leadership battles with JDT Mulopwe and Bill Clinton.
