The moment when ex'Quartier Latin guitarist Mbetenge Domingo was angry just because someone interpreted his solo's. It smeems that gets irritated very quickly. I remember him leaving Quartier Latin some days before Koffi chante Lutumba in 2011, just because Koffi gave the Chef d'Orchestre role to Champion Vualu (who playes now for Heritier Wantanabe). Nevertheless he's talented guitarist and did a good job on Bord Ezanga Kombo, Abacadabra & Danger de Mort and being the brain of the three albums. His prime came on the wrong moment, because he came on the moment when the focus on musicians of bands started to drop with in Quartier Latin everything being focused on Cindy Le Coeur. He worked later with Ferre Gola on Boite Noire, QQJD and Derangement and many other artists.

He was very stupid to do this video.
People’s who made tutorials/cover it’s a sign of recognition, he just pay homage, maybe he’s a real fan.
I always thought some musicians have the chance to be talented because some of them seems idiot in real life.

That's unfortunate that Danger La Mort flopped, because the music was good! The generique was fantastic; Mboshi Lipassa's animations were fantastic, Mbetenge's partitions were slick, and the new additions to the chorus were good.

Although I hated Apocalypse with a passion, dude is all noise...Droit Chemin is perhaps the only song that he didn't get on my nerves.

Danger de Mort wasn't necessarily a flop - it had delayed success and people appreciated the rhumbas. For example I was in Kin early 2007 and also summer - on the charts and still being played in most clubs was Pharmacien & Incesticide. Of course the beefs made neither parties acknowledge it.

The generique just didn't impact the scene (took a looong time to grow on me), but it has the distinction of being one of, if no the first Koffi clip uploaded to YouTube, so it has millions of views now.

People can dance on birthday parties or weddings on generiques. But it don't mean that the album is a huge succes. Techno Malewa volume 2, Soyons Serieux for a example.

Danger de Mort came out on the moment when Ferre & Fally already left with the most musicians staying in Europe, musicians leaving Ql one by one and everybody focused on the succes of Droit Chemin and later Sens Interdite. People were calling then Danger de Mort faux album, monotonious, etc and that Koffi was finished. Only Insecticide, Pharmacien and the generique sere doing well in the music-charts. People stsrted listening and appreciating Danger de Mort months later, when they were over Droit Chemin & Sens Interdite, in the wait of B.E.K.

Koffi was really down in Kinshasa with nobody going to his public rehearsels in Oshwe, his concerts not having a big crowd. Then you had the fara-fara of Fally performing at GHK and Koffi at Memling with prefering Fally. Or public concert at Kitambo when nobody came. In Europe all his fans went over to Fally with him touring in Europe with Maika Munan, Apocalyps and co.
