He started in street groups then got taken to bozi boziana's anti choc but could not get tested by bozi himself and dreamed about joining big stars but it did not happened then he started with jolino and when maison mere started rehearsing at la zamba he went for a test but they rejected him based on the area he came from, they wanted an atalaku from bandal and he remembers that the day of his test there was celeo and bidjana(who later went to bcbg then zaiko)
and in 98 he went to quartier latin and started working with mboshi until mboshi started being forced out and he was asked whether its brigade and kerozene who forced him out and he said no he ended up leaving because he was having a lot of issues with koffi and for example in the plan to get rid of him somebody  at the beach to go to brazza somebody out of nowhere took his vaccine card to mess up his trip and he defended himself and koffi was angry against him, and as he felt his position was becoming insecure,he took brigade under his wings as they came from same area and had a lot of friends in common so if he were to be kicked out he'd rather his "brother" remaining in his position than somebody else which was kinda surprising to people as normally he'd have taken kerozene to compliment his voice and ado yuhe tries his best to make cnn admit that his biggest issue with koffi was about sandra lina and asked him whether he dated a dancer in quartier latin which is forbidden and he says he did not fancy dancers as they were not his type of women and he has two sisters who were dancers and he was with a woman way before she became a dancer in quartier latin then bcbg which is sandra and he said that despite leaving he had animation which was used by brigade and kerozene in effrakata and affaire d etat and in his last times he was suspended but his suspensions were stopping when there was a concert then back on as soon as the concert ends and he was not rehearsing with the group and he ended up abandonned in kinshasa and he reveals he knew kerozene well before they ended up together in quartier latin and he is some sort of uncle to kerozene he did not even know he was into music
he is asked about how they were getting along in quartier latin, and he said most of them were really close they were like a family but of course like everywhere with several people it happens there is some little groups of people who have bigger bond and in his case it was with fally jordan and depitchou
he also talked about the carlo piniatelli clothes he wore on attentat clip saying its koffi who offered it to him and he wore it and later on as soon as he realised jb had performed at stade des martyrs with the same outfit he stopped wearing it until somebody stole it
he returned to quartier latin because he wanted to participate at least on 3 albums and he participated but he did not stay because he was not feeling like he is given his due value, without being arrogant or what he had a decent enough history with and without quartier latin to appear like second fiddle to the atalakus who were in the group then and thats something natural,as if for example he is in a concert with somono and mboshi,he has to automatically be the third atalaku in their shadow because history and age are things which we ought to respect in our culture
for him the beef of celeo and fally is just buzz because he does not believe if they meet they will ignore each other and ado asks who should salute first and he says it does not matter because despite everything they are childhood friends
he is asked about people calling younger guys "petit" and he says its not a big deal,God knows why x was born before y and we have to accept it like that and says for example he'd be crazy to be pissed that jb called him petit because like it or not jb is older and at the end of the day he never saw somebody whose life changed because he was called petit so its not a big deal
he reacted aswell to stories that deo brondo and his ex girlfriend did witchcraft on him and he says he does not believe it,deo is an older brother from their area and in their area they are normally not into witchcraft but they have character if you mess with them, and he believes its not true and anyways its a couple matter and for him deo and that woman just had a painful break which lead to a lot of drama but as brother and friend he advised them to sort it out if its still possible
he is asked about witchcraft and he says he never did it and believes its a bit on the same process like "classic" religions, you have faith in certain things but you cant really see them with your eyes,he knows satanism exists but he can not say he has seen blatant proof of it and thankfully for him in none of the groups he were in the leaders encouraged him to have talismans on him and stuff like that,he just went on stage and did his thing naturally
he is asked why he is not like some other atalakus who are too full of themselves and he says he just tries to remain realistic,he has managed to make some history but for example he cant compare himself with tutu caludji, and he adds no atalaku of their generation and those behind can neither  since all of them looked up to caludji and learned animation with his work, and it belittles them in nothing to admit it,its like if he meet djuna mumbafu he has no reason whatsoever to give him attitude or to talk to him like they are friends  he has to give him a very respectful salute then its up to djuna to say relax i am cool we can talk normal
he is working on a new album and it will most likely be only one cd

I had back in the days something like wtf when didn't saw CNN anymore on those videotapes before Effrakata. I liked his animations on Attentat, Bercy and Force de Frappe alot. He deserved to be on 2 or 3 albums more after Force de Frappe but his conflict with Koffi ruined everthing. I had to take some time not get used on not hearing CNN on Effrakata, but quickly after it Kerozene  and Brigade became one of my favorite atalaku-combo's. It would have been more intressting if he also talked about his little time in Wenge BCBG, Quartier Latin Integral and Cultura Pays-Vie. There isn't an atalaku who animated 3 albums in a row without leaving. The only guys who did that were Mboshi & Somono. I remember Mboshi Lipassa having some grudge and not wanting to name CNN in an interview he did 3 years later calling him "petit moko boye". Because Koffi started to leave him behind on tours. Ado Yuhe has to invite Acide Wanzambi, after inviting Brigade, CNN and Apocalyps. I want to hear his side of the story, because Brigade said in an interview that Acide used to work with him in private and that Koffi kind used Acide against him when he joined QL with Brigade being left behind in Kinshasa.

Following the release of Force de Frappe, I suspected CNN's days with Quartier Latin were numbered since he was absent from the clips and promotional material for the album. Keep in mind, Koffi likes to follow his competition in terms of orchestra set up.

Wenge BCBG and Masion Mere (among other groups) had a tenor atalaku to compliment a falsetto atalaku with much success to much success. I suspect that Koffi wanted a similar type of set up for his atalaku section, which likely explained Kerozene's recruitment. Brigade would have replaced CNN either way because he likely had better chemistry with Kerozene since they worked together during their failed recruitment at Wenge Tonya Tonya.

I could be wrong, but Koffi's defending his recruitment of Kerozene at the 15 minute mark seems to support the notion that he wanted an atalaku of Bill Clinton and Genta style.

What kind of policy did Maison Mere have in not taking someone just because they come from a certain neighborhood but they eventually got Celeo is from Bandal the place they didn't want people from. Why was Koffi forcing him out when CNN was on top of his game. I bet people were surprised to hear CNN in Monde Arabe and in some concerts.

CNN doesn't get the praise he deserves and same with mboshi. And mboshi is the atalaku that participated in the most in koffi and ql albums followed by brigade them CNN and somono and kerozene

They don’t get the praise  because everything they did was copied from clan Wenge.

Why does the region where an atalaku matter so much?

Why does the region where an atalaku matter so much?

It’s that Wenge comes from Bandalungwa and people from that area very about their band. So when Wenge Maison Mere started people from Werra’s staff wanted only people coming from their area. To continue the pride of their area, which made alot talented musicians being rejected just because they didn’t came from Bandal (Mogratana for example). This all made me understand why Celeo still had his place, while Werrason didn’t want and trust him.

I'm glad Celeo earned his place in the band, I can't imagine what Masion Mere could have been had he been replaced early on!

I'll give Koffi credit, he just wanted talent...didn't matter from where.
