Artists like Koffi Olomide, Fally Ipupa, J.B. Mpiana, Abeti Masikini and Werrason had claimed that they had a golden record(s) "Disque d'Or" in France. But I've seen interview of Emeneya and others, where they said that nobody had a golden record and they are doing that to get more attention from peoples. Is that true? Or are they just jealous?

kie kie kie yes it seems that most if not all those gold disc are fake,its difficult to know the complete truth
 but its a bit bizarre to me because at least in congolese community or to a certain extent african community some of those so called disc d or albums had success like some album from european artists who received platinum and stufff like that
 so maybe the difference between both continents is piracy(false cds) because it would be strange that albums of monumental african succes like loi,solola bien or feux de l'amour for example are far from disque d or material or even platinum,those albums are still sold even today over 10 years after

lol i think it could be true for A2BM because claudy siar was saying to fally once that if he released album  a few months earlier he could have gone gold disc very week
so maybe not 40 000 but he surely sold  20 thousand otherwise it would have been gold in less than a month since gold is now 50 000 cds
its strategy they exagerate numbers to influence people
