I didn't know the band before I saw this video of a dispute between Extra Musica & Patrouilles des Stars today
Immediately I went listen songs of them like Congo Uni, Verite, Affaire à double face and others. Became impressed of them

Do someone know the history of the band and the Actuality of them. I've read somewhere that they created the danse Koyimbi-Ko, but it was called Bord Na Bord at that time.

patrouille des stars was born in 1997 during and after civil war in congo brazza and they start with their first album obus kanga bisaka  inspired by war
two years later they release album embargo which marks debut of some rivalry with extra musica
the groups leaders are then julien antonio their main atalaku and kevin mbouandé their main singer and they had singer dede djasco with them
one year after they participate to kora awards
in 2001 they went to paris to record their third album correction which leads to them getting best group and best atalaku award,as for the question of koyimbiko yes toms the creator of koyimbiko came from their group then werra and maison mere imrpoved the dance
two years after in 2003 at fespam  they are spotted by senegalese legend youssou ndour who invites they to record in dakar their  fourth album proclamation
but then there is a leadership war between kevin and antonio who leaves to create his own branch
kevin then names the remaining group patrouille des stars authentique
the group then spends most of their time in dakar where they also record album elevation totale 5 years later
and two years later in 2010 is the great definitive comeback to congo with album kanga nzoto a direct response to roga roga's sorcellerie kindoki
currently they are working on their leader kevin mbouandé's album "deuxieme monde' still in response to roga roga's "La chair humaine" ( two titles with mystical meaning)

i have noticed in every genre of music that i enjoy that this is becoming prevalent. eloko ya ba ndoki ekoti lisusu. Kasi suka eza te nzambe aza libela.
