I might have to burn down studio N’Diaye next time I’m in Kin; or buy them a new drumset  ;D JP Kys is an absolute legend, but I’m tired of every générique having the same sound

seguin had actually brought  a new drumset jb had bought from his last states trip but they refused to keep it permanently because of how musicians fear each other in terms of kisi

Why the Name of the studios seems liklileke a Senegalese name?

It used to be Renapec where Tele Zaire used to record live-concerts back in the 70s and 80s  (the unforgetable concert of Zaiko in 1975, the one of Isfi in the same year, Sortie Officiel of Papa Wemba's Viva La Musica in 1977, etc.). But it got abandoned during those lootings of 1991-93. Then Mr Amadou Ndiaye who was a musicproducer decide to buy the place and made from it a studio, renamed it to his familyname Ndiaye. He recorded and produced many albums Wenge El Paris - Couvre Feu, Defao - Sala Noki, Wenge - Intervention Rapide, Pepe Kalle - Cocktail, etc. for his recordlabel Editions Ndiaye. His last albums were JB Mpiana - Kipe Ya Yo & Quel Est Ton Probleme and Karmapa - Riposte, then in 2009 he decided to leave Kinshasa and sell his studio because of the piracy being to strong in Kinshasa and Africa. It was then rumoured that he sold the studio to Werrason and that Werrason became the official owner of Studio Ndiaye, but he denied it many times in interviews.

I swear these guy’s complexes prevents progress.

So we need some neutral western NGO to donate an acoustic drum set so that 2000’s electric Drumset can go away
