It's sad how Pepe Kalle died before seeing the videoclips of Cocktail (98).

Pepe Kalle died a few days before the release of Cocktail. Pepe Kalle died, when Lofombo and those people working for Ndiaye just finished editing the videoclips. Pepe Kalle died from a heartattack. Before the recordings of Cocktail, he was already victim of a heartattack when performing in Mbandaka along with Werrason and Tshala Muana, who were there to cover Laurent-Desire Kabila's visit there and implentation of his new political party. When Pepe Kalle got a heartattack at home, people who were there present, weren't able to get him from the stairs because of his weight and him every time hitting his head when they were going one step down and already being dead when putting him in the car.

But him dying a few days before the release of Cocktail, made people in Kinshasa spread that famous rumor of him dying 3 days at home as satanic ritual to do an astral projection for the album to get massive succes and his wife open the door, when being scared for still not being awake after 3 days, which made him die for real. Pastors even being invited on the national tv to talk about that. That story is always used by pastors on youtube every month, when talking about musicians and most people also believing it, since that it was known that Pepe Kalle was member of a japanse sect. While he just died from a heartattack, because of his height, having normally go to Europe for medical treatment and surgery.

31:18 lol Dokolos putting make up.

I always though that Zacharie Bababaswe not more returned to Kinshasa from 1998 before signing in 2003 for Bracongo (Skol). For what event went he back to Kinshasa, for Pepe Kalle's death ? I still laugh about him lying in that Wemba-videotape, when he was confronted for releasing the videotape Qui Dit Vraie?-Papa Wemba/Koffi Olomide, saying that it was his brother who stole the footage and sold it to Jacko.

You can see that the dancers were really influenced by those of Quartier Latin. Them using their lines, dances, way of talking. What made them leave quickly to join Maison Mere and some Madilu ?
