possibily bro joss always says that when he arrived  and was made chef d'orchestre koffi was talking to me a lot and was telling him to have a close eye on the guys and suggest him who can make a strong starting team even he decides to leave himself joss (you know koffi and that seductive talk to make you feel kinda guilty, nayebi oza epa na nga libela te yo pe oko trahir nga and so on
and that once they get some strong cohesion they'd get a group album, but then the dimension of cindy changed and those who had the two biggest pedigree and potential to be the void fillers of fally( not in term of voice but of charismatic guy standing next to koffi)joss and jitrois were suspected of flirting with cindy while they just knew are long ago like "petite na bango ya quartier" so they were close naturally
and the rest is history

Joss also shot himself in the foot by not having a closer relationship with Koffi. He once said in an interview that Koffi would often complain that Joss wouldn’t go over to his house just to have a chat like the past chefs like Fally and others used to do and stuff like that, whilst just wanted a professional relationship. I’m not saying that’s the way to go, but if he chose to become closer to Koffi things might’ve been different.
Also almost every chef d’orchestre in every band in history weren’t just chefs for a professional reason, they were chefs due to a special relationship with the boss.

I'm assuming Joss felt some guilt about leaving Wazekwa in such a nasty way, so maybe it hampered any type of relationship with Koffi outside music. In y'all opinion, what group was difficult to find a place in? Wenge, QL, or Cultura Pay Vie? I feel like Wazekwa couldn't make stars out of his group, because he played it straight in an industry of ndoki and polemic. At the same time, Werra seems more difficult to please than Koffi. As long as you work hard and don't touch the dancers, Koffi will get along with you.

Its possible him and wazekwa had a very special bond joss knows his family more than any member maybe eclipse now, knows many secrets like his wife, powerful women who tried the best to be with him and so on
if he left like 6 month later he'd have been given access to one of wazekwa's accounts to pay musicians(and of course a big amount would be there so that it  keeps paying 30 plus members for a while without ever going down
not many leaders would do that and let their musicians see a bigger amount that what they'll  receive

Why did Joss wasted away all of this? I mean he should have chosen a side and stick to the Koffi the hardest, to be honest he is not someone made for solo career for me he should be like Kakol, or Seguin those guys who are powerful in-groups because the boss likes them and never leave the band

Joss Diena had everything to be a solo artist. He could sing, dance, play instruments, and do animation (are we forgetting his contribution to Cinq Etoile). He didn't have aa good producer for his first album. It wasn't promoted well and you know, first impressions are lasting impression!

Just look at Droit Chemin or Ferre's first album by comparison, there's a difference in quality and marketing. The clips were well made and they wasted no time touring to spread awareness of the album.

Why would he leave if he had such privilege in the group? It can't be jealousy of other groups, because Werra and Koffi would NEVER give such preferential treatment to Fally or Ferre...and those two were spoiled in their respective bands

wazekwa always says there must have been something spiritual, joss was heading to studio with cultura  then he received no call or whatever he changed completely direction to go to montfleury and when cultura bodyguard who sat next to him realised he was heading towards koffi's house(as it had already started with gesac gone) they fought and joss even hit a lamppostwith the car as he insisted to go to koffi's house at all costs and wanted to take driver seat
eclipse rightfully revealed what wazekwa told them even before all that "i can feel something ugly about to happen,be careful with who approaches you and what he says,be careful with women they can be sent on mission,i just can sense something coming"
and at the same time, this fear/anticipation got wazekwa nervous when signs started to happen of musicians approached at rehearsal and things like that,so he was more strict on everything more cautious on everything more rude when artists did something wrong  and could not realise that he could have turned the thing around maybe by "paying them to stay" or making them big promises(like those who stayed after les marquis/academia)

It seems Wazekwa takes his band members like a part of his family. He seems concerned about them and their wellbeing in a way....

Fally never announced his departure from Quartier Latin officially. It's the strategy all musicians are using nowadays when leaving a band. He continued as a solo due to the succes of this album, in reality he was believing in hisself when the album was released and wanting to stay still in Quartier Latin, but it were people close to him who convinced him to start his solo-career.

Fally succeed because he had all Koffi enemies behind him (the late Michel Lady Luya, Shabani Records, David Monsoh, etc.), when the album was released he was still in Quartier Latin, the polemic behind of "mise en disponibilité" after the album helped him with him also taking profit from his French papers by having concerts in Europe immediatly which boosted the succes even more. Allso when he started his band a huge part of Koffi's staff followed him (Eddy Badiata, etc.).

Fally tried to play with Koffi by saying that he was about to record a solo album, as reaction when he and musicians of Quartier Latin in Kinshasa were informed that Koffi was touring in Europe (France, Germany and Switserland) with Ferre and former Quartier Latin musicians, which caused anger among them. Fally had alsoa few songs, but it was more that he could get fired by Koffi to get sympathy by people and join Wenge Maison Mere since that he approached by them. Koffi was mad, but knew that people would support him and decided to not react. Then he came back with Ferre he hold a big reunion with Quartier Latin which was normally to fire Fally from the band, asking all members if they agreed with Fally recording an album, everybody saying no except Montana and Brigade or somebody else (fearing that Koffi would leave them behind for the next Europe tour). After it Koffi "accepted" Fally recording the album. Then the day before the tour he was thinking about Fally leaving behind in Kinshasa, but on the last minute he changed his mind and brought him to Europe with the rest of the group. In Europe he tried to sabote the album by calling Somina to not produced Droit Chemin and when David Monsoh was close to release Droit Chemin he sent his lawyer to block Fally's album, saying that he hadn't the right to release an album because of him still having a contact with Quartier Latin, but it didn't work. The moment when Quartier Latin was about return to Kinshasa, Fally was contacted by Shabani Records (the same person who convinced Reddy Amisi to have concerts during the Prudence-era when being with Viva La Musica) to have a concert at Grand Hotel Kinshasa for his tv-channel and he also received contracts for Gabon and Brazzaville. Fally who was afraid was adviced by Michel Lady Luya then adviced to lie  to the pressthat he was in "mise en disponibilité", that Koffi allowed him to have concerts. Thinking that Koffi would be mad and directly fire him from Quartier Latin, which would cause symphathy among the fans in that case. But Koffi was smart and knew that trick and didn't react. The problem of Fally and Koffi created alot buzz and boosted the succes of the album even more. After the few concerts, Fally returned to Europe and had some concerts (Dock Eiffel, Le Marignan, etc.) with session musicians (Champion, Ramazani, Pathy Moleso, Michel Bass, Maika Munan, etc.) which helped him to promote the album in Europe. Not long after it he also received a 4 years contact for Bracongo (Skol).

Quick question, what happened between Koffi and Michel L.L in that period ? Because he got shouted out on Monde Arabe, and on Abracadabra too
