Same here, the way he explained the story I can actually picture it in my head.

I was surprised to hear from Yaya Londa that Pepe Kalle already planned to leave Empire Bakuba, asking him to comeback and get Fofo le Collegien with him to coach Delta Force.

I don't think that his younger brother Djouna will be happy for the way he said  Lofombo being the one who pushed Pepe Kalle to form Delta Force. Both guys are arguing for years about being the one to recruit the guys.

I don't think Pepe Kalle would have left Empire Bakuba. What would have happened, it would be similar to Papa Wemba's cold war of Viva La Musica between Nouvelle Ecriture and Cours des Grands. If Pepe Kalle had been alive, it would have been a cold war between Empire Bakuba bands which would have Delta Force vis a vis Gode Lofombo and Djouna Mumbafu vs Trio Kadima vis a vis Dilu Dilumona and Papy Tex.

Remember, Dilu Dilumona, Papy Tex and Pepe Kalle already had a fallout between 1997 and 1998 period.

I dont think that you followed the interview. Towards the end Yaya Londa said that Pepe Kalle planned to leave Empire Bakuba. He first wanted to have two bands (Empire Bakuba & Delta Force), but other bandleaders influencing him not to do that, saying that bands of multiple bandleaders dont exist. Adding that Pepe Kalle said to him get Fofo le Collegien with him (they were both in Madilu's band). But Pepe Kalle passing away just before he wanted to execute his plan.

i am sure vieux kalle wanted fofo because of songs,i believe kibens also once said that after he was done collaborating with kalle when he became a professional singer with jb vieux kalle regretted to not have thought about it because he'd be useful for empire by being a singer he'd be offering much more songs and with less conditions
