It's surprising when read the posts here and then you check how the last songs are being shared on social platforms... The posts here indicate that Koffi is done and not worth paying attention to but the reality is that is making people dance and enjoy his music. The two songs have brought back a bigger hype than the " selphie " hype.
Personally I would have loved the Waah song to have a proper duet verse where Koffi and Diamond sing the lines together. The song feels like Koffi and Diamond were in separate studios...

Just out of curiosity, did Koffi ever collaborate with Franco or did he ever do any shout to Franco....? How did Koffi relate to Franco?

Congolese take their hatred too far....... a 17 seconds extract lets them pour their whole...... like Wazekwa said RDC is wealthy in hatred..... Why don't people just ignore him and others won't be drugged into their hatred. some people hardly listen or watch the clips but will express their hateful speech just by following other peoples opinions..... if read comments here you would think Koffi is a devil and has not been producing good music since the depature of Fally or Ferre....I get  to Chez Ntemba and other clubs that still play Congolese Music and Koffi's songs are sometimes play more than any other. when i play Congolese music on a function, Madalas will either ask for a Koffi's or Madilu's song. The younger ones will ask for Fally, Koffi, Awilo's Carolina, Werra's Malewa or Diamond Platinum song.... One man's poison is another man's cup of tea....Nakanisaki Koffi azali naba Koffi fille na Koffi ate (whatever the spelling is) mais na Internet atondi ba Koffi hate ebele.....

Congolese Music / Who sung Piss Cass with defao?

What a song! For Rhumba lovers of course... Who sung with Defao...?

Did Madulu compose the song Yaya? What was behind the story? Mfumu, was  the song about Franco's death and the aftermaths?

Koffi is Koffi... Let's not value the egg and insult the chicken.... Noblesse oblige made everyone " including  the YOs danced, people who never paid attention to the genre"only Malewa by Werra, Etat Major by Extra, Ndombolo by JB, Nzinzi by Emeneya, Mario, Massu by Franco, Muzina and Shauri yako by Tabu lay are the some songs that can be remembered.   Many people know koffi.... Even the ex biggest stars of QL were not known before joining QL,some have struggled to build a career after QL apart from polemic. Let's enjoy the music and be happy that not all legends are dead. At least a legend is still singing about COVID19....

Koffi was a darling to many way before the QL we know today. I am of those who didn't like the reduced number of vocals Koffi would have in when QL was introduced. It took time to get used to the new Tcha tcho. The Papa plus and the Maggie videos did make QL members popular ( in Zambia) let alone the interviews in the LOI video added another dimension.  Koffi is Koffi, a real legend but like anybody else we all have a human side that is different from the beautiful god side we were born with. Over the years, one will love different songs from different artists, music evolves and so do the demands on an artist to stay relevant. Koffi has passed with an A+ considering his discography and general appeal. His voice is known by different generations in many Countries... Songs like SAUVE QUI PEUT, ECOLIERE, ALIDOR or ELLE ET MOI... The list is too long, the Sebenes are too many....

Please assist with the lyrics  of ecoliere. i really like the melody and i get the general message but my lingala is still poor, worse off is my french. Those who haven't listened to the song should just give it a chance.... nice rhumba.

Congolese Music / Re: AMIDA AND VITAL ATTEND KOFFI'S CONCERT
« on: February 19, 2019, 08:33 »
One would wonder why a musician would be at fault if his fans came for his concert ??? Would Koffi tell the guards to stop Vital and Amida from entering the venue? Did Koffi invite the couple or make the concert just for the couple? Vital apart from being a fan, he is a VIP so he would attend events he feels he should attend.... for Koffi, its business as usual, get mabanga money and move on.. he has some trouble some legal issues hence needs the money and guys ( Politicians) who will come to his aid when the heavy hands of the law will strike.

It's not  a secrete Antoine aza makila  mabe ,but sometimes we blame him too much even for things he not done. he is a polarising figure that you would love to hate. Being a star, like Papa Lutumba siad, one attracts a lot of attention and it in turn becomes a bad omen. Koffi's life( just like JB's)  is always under a microscope, minute issue become so magnified the sometimes stars are compelled to live by a stereotype ....
Amida is known (to some of us) just because JB and its sad to any marriage break up especially were kids are involved. We can only pray that  JB can make the best of his life post Amida enjoy it. it appears Amida  has moved on (maybe not that is why she wants guys who will keep her in the sport lite) so its imperative that JB should be left to enjoy life without constantly reminding him of the past.

Brother Emo , i would like to visit your bar in Chilenje, where exactly is it?

Congolese Music / Re: NYATAQUANCE CDS BEING UNBOXED
« on: May 14, 2017, 09:34 »
Before i make my first comments on this wonderful forum i would like to thank all for the contributions you make. before i used to only enjoy the great melodies watch energetic dance of this great music genre now you have helped understand the beautiful culture. Archos (the Oracle) Matebu and Mvulusi the other rest  my many others its an honour to have you.....Sly and Emo my compantriots so inspirational...we should link up when in Ndola for a beer and dance to some generiques.
On one inteverview a couple of years ago Koffi said and we know music evolves. He said the Tcha Tcho days were different and the demands of today are different. The great Madilu always echoed the saying " the tree that is pelted with stone is the one with fruits", Koffi produces and that is why is criticized often. He has always found ways to make people pay attention to him and market his brand. Music like food, we all have different tastes and its normal that we will give varrying reviews to it.
For Fans promote the ones you like, in the end  the liberals will enjoy the diversity that congolesse music has given us. Thank all once more
