Ah wow so it’s confirmed. Who’s going to replace Makaba? I have a hard time believing someone can pick up where he left off

32
Double post.

33
What about the guitarist Makaba Arc en Ciel? If he’s gone I truly think it’s over for werrason. He was the reason I still kept listening to all of the repetitions/concerts until now.

Congolese Music / So was Werrasons London concert cancelled?

I thought they were supposed to perform in a theater? I saw that they were in a small gym. Was it the stupid combatants again?

It’s sad because if he did a fire generique and had a music video similar to the Quality of the Bokoko video, that would’ve taken off as well. The priorities are really messed up with this genre. Minimum effort, maximum popularity

36
“You used to dance Bokoko, but now another banger!”  I cracked up when I heard that. You gotta be kidding me lol he’s so out of touch with his music it’s not even funny

Nouvelle Horizon is killing this guy, it’s not even close

so nobody on this forum likes Werrason ?
Werra is a legend but as of right now……there are other artists and bands better than Werra and Maison Mere.
Like?

Good question. I see Maison Mere hold fully packed rehearsals and energetic practice sessions that no other band is doing. Werra has a second/reserve team with more quality than several main bands so while we are allowed to have different tastes and preferences, when we rate artists/bands, objectivity requires that we show what criteria we using.....
Totally agreed! If we're being honest, no one in this genre is killing it at the moment and have fallen off from their glory days. At least with Werrason, and JB at times I still really enjoy their rehearsals, concerts and practice sessions.

I don’t know why, I can’t pin point it but I like their smaller concerts/repetitions a lot better. They are way too conservative when it comes to the bigger concerts. Same with werrason at times.

41
On top of that they always perform the sebene songs from their classic 90s albums all the time. Like they'll rarely produce new sebene songs so they always revert back to the ones in concerts. How about keeping that same energy and have only rhumba concerts? Because they know it will flop

Hopefully this changes the game for most artists now like Fally, Koffi, etc when it comes to official footage. I'm still mad that Fally never put up official footage for his Bercy. Now its forgotten somewhat. I really hope they all learn from this when it comes to performing at the big venues

Thank god! I was depressed thinking that the site was gone forever

Is there official footage that we can see?

Me to young ? hahahaha I’m a muana serie 7. My first child is the half of my age. Yes and no. But knowing how bandleaders were able to save themselves on longterm I knew that he would succeed. The most important to survive those moments is to hold your instrumentalist section intact. If that’s the case you will be already saved for 60%. Because they hold musical identity of the band

That is definitely facts! As long as you have the good instrumentalists, you could definitely survive which happened with many of the leaders over time. The moment they deviate from good instruments, thats the moment they usually flop
