I have a suspicion they left because of the money. Probably not only because of this, but also because of this. I doubt they stayed loyal to Roga up to this point only because of friendship or a vision. In the hard circumstance Congolese musicians are, when they receive no payment, I doubt they would stay.

Kkkkkkk but how can Roga Roga do this to us? If you remove vocals on this song you can sing about 5 of his generiques without struggle kkkkkkk just the same
Roga became quite lazy these years. He should sit down in the studio and properly contruct tracks with content in it. Some tracks show he still has good ideas, but they are just flashes the night in this form.

I like the solo in this song. Personally, I think this is his first good solo since the La Main Noire album. He should play more things like this, and I would buy his new albums immediately. What I dislike however is the rythm guitar. They are playing this kind of rythm since the Kindoki album, I don't like it. It is trying to imitate electronic sound but I feel it is just too dark and boring.

Who is that bearded guy playing the solo? It seems to me he was added during th US tour.

Doing weird spiritual stuff is one thing, but in spite of it he could still be a creative and interesting artist. My problem is however, that whatever he released since 2007 is not very interesting to me. So in case this is also caused by his spiritual activity, I am not happy. He should focus more on doing interesting records like the onese before 2007.
There is Nyoka Longo for example: there has been rumours about the kindoki he is doing. However in spite of that, he is creating interesting stuff even today, and always tried to maintain a good standard with the band.
I don't understand the fear of Tresor however. Why is he so hysteric about this whole stuff of Roga? Roga does what he does, this is just a kind of whim (provided it is true), Tresor should just live his life and leave all that crazy stuff with Roga. Frankly, what effect can it have on him what Roga is doing? Nothing, it is just whim.

I don't think anything, I am just curious about what will happen this time, that is the first occasion that key musicians are leaving.

The sound shouldn't change too much; Extra Musica Zangul and International had similar sound despite the split. Same with Wenge Musica Masion Mere and Les Marquis de Masion Mere so on and so forth
I still expect changes. Though extra musica fractioned several times, this is the first time when key musicians leave. So far, leaving figures were singers. So this is kind of new situation. I was not happy with the direction the band took after La Main Noire, but for me their latest album 242 was a pleasant surprise with promising moments. I wonder in which fraction will this direction be maintained, if it will be at all.

I see you had created this account earlier, but did not activate it until now, when your other account is banned. The ban refers to your presence here, not only for a specific account. As the outcome of the poll, that was created for members to decide whether you can stay or not, was that the ban has to remain, I have to close this account of yours as well, to respect the outcome of the poll. I mentioned earlier that in case you create a blog elsewhere and send me the link for that or the RSS, I gladly add it to the frontpage sidebar of the forum, as we always welcome partner links to promote. This offer still prevails.

I have a suspicion this will be short lived as well, but I wonder how they will sound and how Roga's group will sound, whether their sound will change.

Unfortunately this is not possible here. We, who founded the forum (DJ Sly and later me) speak mostly English and we intended to create a place for the English speaking Congolese music fans. English is more widely spoken in the world, and this way, the forum can be read by more people, thus being a bigger advertisement for Congolese music. If people start speaking Lingala here, many people in the world won't be able to join us, and Congolese music related talk will become much more restricted to a small group. Moreover, we, the admins, won't be able to check time by time what's going on in the forum, and in case someone has a problem, like recently, we will have to ask translators to learn about the issues, and that would be quite a complicated way to maintain the forum. Lingala speaking would only be useful if we would also speak fluent Lingala.

I, as the admin, banned asnastasio, I gave my reasons here: http://congovibes.com/congolese-music/ot-today-is-a-sad-day/30/Some members however feel I was strict. So let me know your opinion, and case it is so, I don't mind giving anastasio a last chance. The voting is anonymous.

Personally I feel he made a mess here and I would rather like to see him open his own blog that I would gladly link. Also he was warned many times not to open to many new topics per day. I have warned him like 3x-4x already, well before posts mentioning problems with him showed up. But to stay demcocratic, I will do a poll and let the outcome decide.
