Congolese Music / Re: This is what you call a REAL combattant
« on: January 22, 2015, 11:55 »
Young and handsome and you choose to die in this manner.....real Combattant?
That boy is not a coward like the combattants in Europe. He is a hero that deserves every bit of respect that can be accorded to a true and selfless patriot. He is a real combattant, not some pseudo wanna be megaphone wielding, street warrior in Paris, Belgium or London. He is the real hero and he died defending the right for all Congolese to enjoy values of democracy & the freedom to choose who governs them.

REST IN PEACE young man, I salute your total bravery. You fought a real, admirable and good fight.

ADT Yanky Mpuyi has stated that Heritier ain't going nowhere.......frankly speaking I don't care who comes or goes from Maison Mere. Werrason suffered defections by serious talent when Ferre, Mabiala, Bill, baby Ndombe, JTD, Mimiche, Japonais; left within 2 years of each other in the early 2000s. Werra responded with a formidable Maxi single and continues to prove that all other musicians who work with him are accessories to his talents. Heritier leaving is a non event to be honest.

Congolese Music / Re: Jb's new video for the Primus generique
« on: January 05, 2015, 11:40 »
Werrason is a new breed of 21st century entrepreneurial musicians as opposed to JB Mpiana who is to put it simply, just a singer. The obvious question then is, what do I mean when I describe Werrason as an “entrepreneurial musician”?  I define entrepreneurship as innovative productive enterprise undertaken by a musician. The core elements of that definition are innovation, productivity and enterprise.

So how does  Werrason embody those 3 qualities?

1. Innovation

Werrason develops innovative visions and walks distinctive paths with his music. Be it with introducing new musicians or new beats; his new music sounds fresh, he is compelling on stage, his concerts resound with inspired programming, and the choreographies are inspired and breath taking. Werrason is one musician who also recognises professional opportunities that others miss and thereby tap potent sources of income like he did with forays into world beats, the decalle sound and now the gbedu from Nigeria.

2. Productivity

The French word ‘entrepreneur’ translates as “one who undertakes.” Entrepreneurial musicians TAKE ACTION and work productively for years on end. Their steady creativity sets them apart from the would-be artists who are merely imaginative. Imagination alone produces nothing. Creative people work & Werrason does exactly that.

3. Entrepreneurial

Werrason has a business model for his music which he merged with his passion for music and created the practicalities of succeeding in the marketplace. Werrason creates musical products and services he believes in, and as we can now attest to, is also enthusiastically selling his work via diverse channels like Amazon, CD, live performances & exclusive downloads.

In such a cut-throat world where there are more musicians than ever, it is important to understand how to distinguish oneself from the pack and stand out and I think Werrason is a model musician from whom other Congolese musicians ought to learn.

you are welcome bro, i was actually shocked about lofombo  playing that, but also when pinos said lofombo had during one the days of recording of ingeta completed 6 songs in 2 hours, this guys is a machine :D :D :D
some do weeks before getting the result they wanted
I think this statement has to be revisited and clarified. I'm not suggesting that your information is inaccurate, but I do not for once believe that Lofombo had anything to do with Alerte Generale. There are no signatures or footprints of Lofombo's style like in Ingeta. I cannot see what he brought to the party in this instance as everything sounds very much like its all work of Michel Bass.

...What the Patron is saying makes business $en$e( unless of course you're a ball massaging hater). Fans both local and international ,i.e.Zimb's first lady, should dictate this "beloved" muzik not foreign brewers...

“unless of course you're a ball massaging hater”….that’s an idiotic statement straight out of George Bush’s vocabulary

I am not as stupid as you’ve conjured in your little brain, for you to think that I am so spunk-brained to the extent that I would think of endorsing Koffi Olomide just because disGrace Mugabe hired him for her daughter’s wedding. What makes you believe that she is an authority on music from whom I must take cue? Fuck that. The business sense of paying €23,000 for a song in Africa, appeals to hare brained buffoons and I make no apologies for insulting anyone that pays that sort of money. I don’t hate Koffi……hate is such an extreme emotion which I won’t spare on a person who doesn’t directly affect my life. However, there is no getting away from the fact that Koffi is an egocentric, selfish and vile Neanderthal. That’s my opinion and I will continue to give it irrespective of the precious sensitivities it upsets.

Final preview

Koffi lost the plot ages ago but unfortunately, a few sycophants continue to massage his balls & in his delusions, he believes that he is the patron of Congolese music & that's why he finds it fit to offend our intelligence by suggesting that he intends to sell songs for €23k each.

116
This old fucker has become boring, i have lost all my respect for him, just waiting for his album to hear if he'll redeem himself artistically otherwise socially he's in his own cocoon and isolated.
you are guilty of massaging his balls and making him believe that he is excellent. The guy is as irritating as a vagabond's fart & the sooner everyone stops giving him attention the better.

117
I'm not convinced. Maybe the generique will grow on me if I keep playing it in the car or if its played in a club during the festive period. I will reserve comment till next month.

118
There's  stuff I want to say but I'm going to wait for the album to come out to explain further.
The album will explain itself, shove your analysis. From what we've heard of that album so far, lots of effort and hard work has gone in there. I've made my mind and this will be the first time I'm buying a cd since Soul Sol. Bring on Flèche Ingeta.

119
I genuinely feel excited about Flèche Ingeta and I'll buy this cd album. Werrason is a genius.
