What was she doing with him for all those without getting married. Is it because Montana is no longer happening that the wife has abandoned him. People are not honest. ;D

Congolese Music / AM IN KINSHASA
« on: August 28, 2024, 06:40 »
So guys I have been in Kinshasa this week. Happy to be in this iconic city. I have been to the famous Pullman Hotel. I noticed JB and group performs there every Sunday. I would have loved to go to that concert but eish, am only here for a week. Yea so we met a certain Maitre who took us around through the streets where JP Bemba's residence ( The amount of military there!) all the way to former president Kabila's residence. Also went Rotana hotel. This Maitre was just taking us to rich people places. :D :D. Or and am trying to recruit to set a band as well, botindela ngai ba numero yaba soliste ya danger oyo boyebi. :D

I want to go to city centre today? Any suggestions of iconic rumba sites I can possibly visit?

Merci!

They should be praying to God coz its a miracle that most of them go out unscathed.

I remember Miel De Son saying we defended this movement (Maison Mere) because there are times when as an artist you have your last $100 but you are obliged to go out to the clubs and spend that money as if you have much just to show that the group is doing fine meanwhile you have unpaid house rent and all the other bills.

I agree. It will take the whole society change in terms of mentality of all people for things to get better in all spheres of life.

Lol. So kozala musician na Kin, its a given that you have to have a sugar mummy. Even in groups ya temoign jehovah ya Wazekwa.

Thanks @Archos for the write up.
So do all group members get transport money every other rehearsal day or it's only a select few. I am thinking that that's a big cost for the leader if he has to do that. But it would be cheaper if the group is much smaller even in terms of salary.

That's why I support musicians running away/remaining in Europe. It's a necessary evil. Because how can you survive on begging in Kinshasa.

That guy throwing monies, are those dollars or Congolese francs? Lol kind of embarrassing throwing monies at leaders like that.

Great gesture by both to simmer down the tension among fans.

So Dido Senga wasn't the one throwing mabanga, later on in the clip. Explains why he wasn't on the cover and the rumours of him leaving. Lol

So basically Ya Jossart's mandate ended but he doesn't want to vacate office?

Indeed congratulations to Ferre. The two should learn to coexist there is no need to want to pull the other down. Their status in music Congolaise is already cemented and am sure both have already made loads of money which barring misuse, will see them through well in their twilight years. Offcourse healthy competition/rivalry can be maintained and they don't necessarily have to be buddies.

Thats not their concert, but a guest appearance at the concert of the biggest ivorian female singer of recent months roseline layo who they featured in their EP
Ah ok. I have seen that. But  sure they will go with the biso tobetaka liboso ba Casino de Paris wana. Cest rien de Tout!

Theo Mbala doesn't get as much credit as he should. Me thinks if he was from Clan Wenge he would more known.

For someone who is not a fan of generiques, palpitations makes the very small list of great and classic generiques
