Fally is a brand, and he's simply being loyal to those that buy and follow his brand. Come on guys, you ever heard of somebody complaing about why all Audi's look the same... its a brand thing.

Yep.

Def sounds like cadenas. I still look forward to hearing the rest of the album

Haha Koffi gets imitated a lot.

Haha indeed. I don't know if he inadvertently does this, but he's an easy banter source

He even reposted it to his page... Back it the day when people did imitations in front of him or on tv you could sense him getting a bit offended  :D

well because usually those imitations involve people verbally making fun lol. this is just dancing so i can see why he supports it. it doesn't make him look bad and its fun

This is dope. Which one his is son? Seems there are two rappers on this song. I would love to hear more stuff like this in lingala.

gave it a few more spins. i get what he's doing with this. being hell bent on global success i feel he made this song to be palatable to a wide audience. the repetition/call response, the simple dance moves, etc) respect for finally keeping it 100% congolese in the process (despite adding a modified 'dab' to the dance moves) rather than pull a sweet life or worse chaise electrique move. i feel him on this one. my initial assessment of 'underwhelming' still stands because i was expecting something different/more but this track has grown on me.

finally getting a chance to watch the rest. i am definitely impressed. i wish ibrator all the best. hoping he doesn't dwell on the past or let journalist draw him into always harping on leaving fabregas. just concentrate on the music and he will be fine.

I fastforwarded just to hear the girl song and i concur she is exceptional! between her and heritiers girl and sara solo i really hope this means we will be hearing more feminine voices in congolese music. not just as solo artist (or a replacement of a whole group *ehem* cindy) but also within the context of groups. the mix between male and female voices is sorely lacking in congolese music in general IMO

I don't think he did a bad thing releasing this product. As far as I know Congolese music does not stops with rumbas and sebenes.  This is great way of showing how our beautiful cultur is and I believe he did it well. I said bravo to the artist. ..plus as long as they are koffi, jb, werra, fally or ferre.everything they will present will be well received by their fans bases.
Let's enjoy this luketo music.  Diversity ain't a bad thing

I agree with your general point but the song lacks a little something. Its not horrible to me though. I would let it play in the context of an album but i dont really find myself wanting to revisit this song. I guess when artists take years between albums etc the fans expect a lot.

off topic
I see a lot of ppl criticizing fally for doing hashtag challenges for his songs but thats just another marketing strategy. i dont see the issue

Say whatever you want, call us nerd or whatever, the fact remains that it is a trashy song. Am a DJ and personally I would not play this shit especially because of the crap animation by a reject Kirikou who was rejected in two major bands.
Selfie is a bit different because Koffi did the animation himself and it is catchy though the lyrics have no proper meaning,it's just a song to have fun with not this Nyataquance which was overhyped. Am sure Koffi is paying young chaps to take videos of themselves and posting them to him so that he uploads them in his quest to make it go viral like Selfie,he may succeed but the song remains trash. ;D

Music Nerd is not meant to be an insult. It just means you are more critical than the average listener. You may never play it but judging by some of the replies here the song is getting played in a lot of places in africa. The irony here is i always see the complaint here that the congolese are losing footing as a force in music and when a song finally makes waves across several national lines the purists are crying foul lol at the end of the day koffi has accomplished what he set out to do and that is create a song that would make ppl dance. its too early IMO to say its a "hit" but apparently its getting there. Again dont be insulted by the reality of your extreme critical nature. Some ppl have high standards and thats great. The average listener just wants to dance and wont be as critical. The criteria is pretty simple for most listeners "does it move me to dance and or listen again?" all of the details and critical points you guys point out the average listener doesnt care about.

This is something i had to learn with regards to hip hop as an artist. I can make the most intricate rhyme schmes in my raps all i want but if ppl are not compelled to move they dont care how many syllables i can cram into a verse lol its just the reality
