Congolese Music / WHO WAS THE PRODUCER OF KOFFI OLOMIDE
« on: May 17, 2018, 08:53 »
As we can see at the beginning of the video, it's noted "Universal Tcha-Choo Productions and Sonodisc Distributions", so I would have liked to know who really was the producer of Koffi since on his albums it is sometimes written "Sonodisc", "Editions Esperance" and few times "Universal Tcha Tcho".

When Wenge 4x4 released "Les anges adorables vol 1 and 2" it was also written Sonodisc in the back, so who really was their producer because they were no longer with Willy Beya and not yet with Mr Simon?

Congolese Music / ONE OF THE MOST COMPLETE RUMBAS
« on: March 28, 2018, 23:13 »

One of the most complete rumbas of our history that I could hear. The voice of Madilu is exceptional, the solo guitar played by Shiko Mawatu nothing to say, the bass of Cameroonian Guy Nsangue and the legendary Ngouma Lokito are at the top, special mention for Nyboma, Shimita, Luciana and Wuta Mayi who have interpreted very well the choirs

I do not know if the lyrics were written by Madilu himself or if the song was bought from a lyricist. I think the 90's is the decade that contains the best rumbas in our history with "Eau bénite", "Fouta Djallon"...

I think this song is part of the Congolese songs that we must not remix, the original is too well played to be able to play it again. No wedding or anniversary can be played without passing this classic. RIP Madilu System one of the most prolific singers of our music.

great show with QL's member Omba and Nicodem from WMMM. Omba played Koffi's Stéphie with Poumpa Mystique on guitar and Nicodem played Tchatcho mbala from Werrason with another guitarist (whose name I do not know). Then, Djino Liaki (artistic director of F'victeam), Nathan Munkala and Billy synth of F'Victeam and Emani of the team Wata made their entry on the set and then little by little other musicians arrived.

It would be really huge that there are more and more often such programs and that later there are some with great leaders (fally, ferré, heritier or werrason, koffi and jb...)

Congolese Music / PRODUCER OF SENS INTERDIT ?
« on: February 02, 2018, 18:55 »
In this album, we all know that the producer is General Dabira but in an interview of David Monsoh he say that is him who produced the album Sens Interdit. I have the part of the booklet containing the credits and I see that both are credited. In the end, who produced this album ? And did he come out in December 2006 or January 2007

Congolese Music / BASS ON CONGOLESE MUSIC
« on: January 26, 2018, 17:21 »
I don't know what you think about it but I find that too few songs in Congolese music have a pretty powerful bass like Roger Milla of Pepe Kalle or Sous-Sol of Werrason. Yet there is a very good bass player in Congo but it is not well enough tuned in most Congolese songs.

Special mention to Werrason and Ferré Gola for their albums 7 days of the week and QQJD where bass is played excellently
