General / Judas and the Black Messiah Soundtrack
« on: February 14, 2021, 17:25 »
I don't know how many people on this site rock with hip hop, but a soundtrack to the movie about a revolutionary named Fred Hampton. I think the soundtrack is pretty dope. It gotta a mix of hip hop and RnB, all of the rnb cuts are dope, but some of the hip hop records shouldn't be on here like I declare war, On your mind, and rich nigga problems by Asap rocky its a decent song, but the subject matter doesn't have anything to do with the movie. but what do you think about the soundtrack? link below if you haven't heard about it and wanna check it out its just an hour long

Congolese Music / Why didnt Real World Records give....
« on: January 23, 2021, 13:36 »
I was listening to bana lunda, and I thought to myself, wow, JB can actually sing, and then I felt like real-world records should've given him a chance to internationalize his music like they gave papa wemba with Le Voyageur (1992), Emotion (1995) and 1998's Molokai I feel like he would've done an excellent job cuz his voice is unique and he's a great vocalist especially on Feux De l'Amour

Congolese Music / NO Disrespect: But isnt it time for koffi to
« on: January 10, 2021, 22:11 »
He has been in the game for over forty-three years. Isn't it time for him to relax, release unreleased stuff, sit down, write a book about his life, or make a movie about his life, no concerts like we don't need new music every month from him he's already an official legend. I'm wrong, or not please tell me

cuz i know he got joints like this in his stash he got to release em

Congolese Music / Post a bad Generique
« on: December 17, 2020, 22:26 »

Congolese Music / Is this the greatest commercial ever ?
« on: November 26, 2020, 23:11 »

yall need to give Felix Wazekwa more props on here fo real he made one of the greatest commercial songs for a beer. I feel like drinking a primus right now, especially at 3:36 homie killed it, and dude at 6:49 smoked it too; dance moves on point and everything, all that aside, this is probably the greatest music video coming out of the genre known as soukous

Congolese Music / Which congolese artist should do a verzuz
« on: November 20, 2020, 11:24 »
For those who don't know, Verzuz consists of two challengers in the entertainment industry who plays 20 of their best records on Instagram live and then let the people decided who won. With the most recent battle between two rappers from the states Gucci Mane and Jeezy, but I feel like they need to bring it to the motherland, and where else better to start than congo? In your opinion, which Congolese artists should battle each other? It got to be two legends that got many hit records. I would say at least ten or more. I was thinking Fally versus Ferre Gola would be a dope one, Felix Wazekwa versus Awilo Longomba, J.B Mpiana versus Werrason. I know that a lot of these guys were in a group so they can play the song they wrote while in a group example Werrason can play Kala Yi Boeing in the battle against JB.

for the people that don't understand what I'm talking about, watch the video below for an example of how a Verzuz would look like

Congolese Music / You can only pick one
« on: November 14, 2020, 18:43 »
Which Koffi and Fally duet is the best? Eternellement or Effervescent me personally I'll take Eternelement both are classics tho.

Edit: aight it's clear that most of yall like Effervescent better, the next one is Pharmacien or Insecticide

Whos idea was it to put 9/11 towers over their group photo and write attaque suprise god damn  :o

Congolese Music / This is the type of beat Fally need
« on: October 26, 2020, 22:01 »

Its sound like something that could've been on Droit Chemin

If no why. who would you cast to play him ? his life is definetly movie worthy his career is so long so if i was the director/writer i would've chopped it up to a five part series Episode 1, His life as a kid/young adult Episode 2, the early start of his career late 70s with viva la musica  Episode 3 starts wit him creating Quartier Latin to Episode 4 how he created the masterpice known as V12 moving forward on to the late 90s and his beef with papa wemba and bercy peformance the impact it had on african music, i dont really know where it should end cause he's still making music and knowing koffi he would probably cast himself lol
