Fally darn near has no composition 100% to his name up to this point. Kind of like Wemba if I think about it. In other words, the percentage of songs to his name throughout his career is low - nevertheless they’re very successful

I thought he had problem recognizing his baby daughters is Davina still alive? Lol

You mean the non-mixed daughter that looks exactly like him?, kiekie.

(just a joke)

lol, what is it 4-5 times he did a remix of Voyage including the one on his latest album?
Including the one on his latest album, he did 3 remix of the orginal song Voyage

I believe he also did a variation of the song on Suspension with a different name

Way too young Hervé.... fans of the genre are too rude

Bass and solo were alright. However the programming of the drums and synthe is borderline terrible. I'm a big fan of the album regardless

Lots of RIPs for the album contributors, pretty sad

7
Why an instrumental version of Dose Unique?

The bass is so groovy and the drumming is exceptional. Mi-solo  and rhythm are also on point

8
He had pretty good génériques prior, but this one was so powerful from start to finish it shocked everyone. Definitely on my top trn list

9
Damn, when’s the last time he had a meal?

Anyone wagering that this concert will absolutely not happen?

Alerte Generale got deleted so don't have it (does anyone have a copy?).

Anyone get this one yet? Need the song for my upcoming wedding...  ;D

I actually got the album again coincidentally. Will upload when I get a chance

That's Yoka Choc. They've been around in Tokyo since 1986 (big year for Congolese music there) and have been "confirmé" by Zaiko, Wemba, and Kester. They have very genuine passion for the genre and have contributed greatly to the artists that have been to Japan - venue planning, lodging, paying for equipment, etc.

I have two of their albums and they're pretty good - mostly original compositions. I think we shouldn't always get mad when people of different skin/ethnicity to on our genre. The Jamaicans don't seem to mind all that much with Reggae

Where's Thierry Pinzi these days? aka young Makaba's twin kiekie

as far as i know none,to the last last seat maybe matebu who was at koffi's if i remember well can say something, but i always heard that only youssou ndour in africa fills it  100 per cent

I was able to attend his 2001 Zenith. I still wish I could go back in time and attend Bercy

The stage for Werra Bercy is seemingly more forward than Koffi's or JB. Stage design at Werra's Bercy was also non-existant

For Youssou's annual  Bercy "Grand Bal" he filled the venue the first couple years then he movie the stage forward so the front row surrounds him. So attendance was probably <12k. He still attracts big crowds, but it's a bit less than before.

Wow, look how humbly he taveled to the venue and came on stage - such a classy guy. Our artists in comparison either came from the sky (Koffi  :D) or was carried onto the venue in a throne (Wemba)

@

What is CNN saying during at the 5:28 minute part of the song and what is the chorus chanting back in response? This has always been my favorite part of this generique, the sebene by Felly Tyson is severely underrated! My lingala is limited lol

It’s actually not lingala. « Imbess » comes from a Coupé decale song coincidentally. Wasn’t really a good look for Koffi because coupé décalé was causing the demise for our genre

^ one could swear that clip is Extra’s Shalai clip watching on mute. Flagrant ripoff
