Congolese Music / Re: IS THIS GUY SERIOUS?
« on: January 18, 2018, 21:01 »
Kiekie, that’s nothing compared to those who worship religion Kitendi. These guys have mental issues. I blame Papa Wemba in part for this -selling false hope in his lyrics

^ Alphabet de la Sape (2:00). Wtf ;D

There’s always one uncle at the party that arrived to present serious dance moves  ;D

Macdeddy posts some funny content and news, but sometimes his passion for Fally is too strong. I know they’re childhood Bandal buddies, but the bias can get ridiculous. Apparently he was the one who switched it “King hustler” to “The GOAT” the last time Fally was in the states.

He posts Ferre content like once every 2 years :D

Congolese Music / I WONDER WHAT HIS INSPIRATION WAS?

Le Karma sings differently here. When it come to modern rhumba it doesn't get any better than this - 12/10. Very refreshing album

Karmapa - Kassapard (CALIGULA, Vol.1)

Beniko Zero Faute - Beta lindanda!

Congolese Music / Re: SO FABREGAS SUED IBRATOR OVER KANIAKA
« on: January 18, 2018, 00:17 »
It’ll be a matter of whether he “gave” or sold the rights of songs to Fabregas. Either way, it’ll be hard for Ibrator to make solid case for himself since so much time has passed already. Might not be worth the legal costs

In the event he wins something, it’ll be huge victory for all the songwriters who’ve been uncredited for their work

@Paysan I completely forgot that one.

That concert in Utrecht went down as the one of the greatest Zairian concerts of the 80's. If not, the best. It saddens me that he illness started to get real worse afterwards (RIP)

Congolese Music / Re: ALITA TSHAMALA KABOSE'S NEW SONG

One can always expect quality rhumba fro Kabose

Damn, Alita Tshamala is still getting songs in his name after close to 40 years. If you guys remeber he was one of the very first to have a song in a donor's name become one of the songs of the year. 1983

Gave the song yet another listen today.... maybe Fabro got salty because is such a top song with nothing but cold hard facts stated

Both Fally & Koffi have really opened up regarding their family in recent years. A few years ago many of their big fans knew nothing about their spouses and children. Side-chick repellent though

lol, these so-called leaders are so damn soft. 1-2-3, let's press charges.

"Press - he was alluding to you in X song" - Any staff member

Second only to Tabu Ley's famous opening sequence. The first DRC artist to do such a thing

The first video captures it from the very begining. The sound is poor, but it still wows. Brukina Faso... "Faso, Fasola!" - Defao voice & "Grande Cadre" Titina

Luke Ty Folla $ign would say B****!!!
For real artist make that little on streams????????? Naaah I can understand for YouTube but not for the Spotify thing stop fooling me Nipsy :'( how can I become a rich singer if a million streams is that little?

Yeah man, it’s tough for those just starting out or non-superstars. It’s like you have to go viral by force. Some people thought he was making up numbers, but they are mostly accurate.

This is partly why rappers are trying to get out of the “360” deals where big record labels are the middle man (€) for everything

I’m shocked it’s this low... this means lots of African artists are making peanuts. Well if they’re even making anything, with all the dead production houses that came back to make streaming money. Now I really see why concerts and tours are vital

There have been responses saying that the YT amount is closer to $1000 (more if you have ad sponsors). People are also asking for his sources. He’s a popular rapper, so I’m pretty sure he’s accurate.

And the joke is Tidal pays much more because nobody has it past the free trial.

The band was bound to break up, but it’s unfortunate the brotherhood can’t remain a full brotherhood

Really goregous cinematography. Clips from DRC are now on par with many Nigerian  and American artists. Kudos to the young directors and young graphic designers

As for the song itself, it's the first song from Ibrator I'm not really feeling at all. The instrumental is nice though
