Yeah, URTNA was the place to meet African stars them days. I too have never seen a video of Vuluka Dilolo, especially the UTNA version. Mamu Nationale was a Treasure and trailblazer for female musicians and she left a very clean record and legacy. Rest in Power Tshala Muana Queen of Mutuashi.... 3

I read in his autobiography how when he was young his father would put on a Lingala LP and would dance to it. Obama said he was facinated at how the music would take his dad ot some trance-like state. Probably some Luambo or Tabu Ley classics as they were the hot musicians of that time. 11

Jollie Detta for example sang with FRanco on the Hit "Layille" Wuta Mayi, Michelle Boyibanda were vocalists in a number of TPOK Jazz hits, especially in the 70's Nana Akumu joined OK Jazz in the 70s as well Of Youlou Mabiala He was refeered as Franco's Prince Not sure which one was not an OK member ( Other than Bola ) Really... |
