I don't why Ben Nyamabo never released the CD version of this album he only remixed the songs (Beloti, Alube, and the medley) on the ratissage album and added new songs.

Congolese Music / Re: INTERVIEW WITH BEEVENS RAPPA
« on: October 06, 2023, 09:41 »
The generique of Matiti Mabe was fire. It's a shame Bana Poto Poto did not last long, I didn't know beevens joined the band until he revealed during Quartier Latin anniversary concert.

Is it the same son, who removed the albums from streaming platforms and upload them as low quality?

5
I agree, I just realised Igwejunior1030 channel has disappeared again.

6
Deo's drumming was always sounding clean and the toms and snare were tuned perfectly the way he hits the cymbals sounds gentle.

This interview was even more interesting than part 1

That story about how their lead guitarist got killed in Gabon, because of having an affair with the first lady of Gabon scared me. Also the way later their rhythm guitarist and remaining musicians all got killed in the following days. Them all getting buried in Gabon and not in Kinshasa. Must  have been hurtful for their families. But how stupid can you be by having an affair with the first lady. late Omar Bongo was not making jokes about that. Was this that led to the divorce of Omar Bongo and Patience Dabany ? Or was it just because of political reasons to leave her for late Edith Lucie who was Sassou’s daughter.

Musicians of Wenge 4x4 always  liked  to attack by claiming that Koffi started to live in Bandal because of them. But here Derval says that Koffi already used to live in Bandal and that went to his house to convince him to join Historia. Last year, Christiana Kwassa also said that Koffi already lived in Bandal for a short time in the mid 80s. The musicians of Wenge 4x4 really think that the plant belongs to them since their breakthrough

The story of Historia Musica is really sad and shows the egoism of bandleaders and also the difficulties of succeeding as an artist. It must be frustrating the way how Bakololeta Meka Meka tried to ridicule them, when trying to get instrument-sets from him, but Debaba not getting it. I wonder why Koffi never defended himself in interviews or later in his career  revealed the truth story. Because the story of him having “stolen” crates and bottles from Debaba was spread in Kinshasa, written in newspapers and killed his reputation. People even saying that it was with that money that he managed to get back in Europe, while a few ago Tolin revealed in one of his interviews he did with Vicent Tshiluizi and Koffi managed to go back to Europe with the money of the woman he dedicated the song Mwasi ya Ngenge. It was Koffi’s right to get the crates from Bralima, because of being the president and not having received anything from Debaba in the time of that he was ill. It was his right to get it.
I wonder how Historia Musica would be if they maintained the original idea of having Fafa de Molokai, Debaba, Luciana and Reddy. I think that Fafa abandoned the project when hearing that they would get Luciana and Reddy anymore. Debaba had just to be fairplay to Koffi and accept his role as president. The band wouldn’t have existed if they didn’t associate Koffi. I wonder how the song Farousci would have been if they still recorded it with Historia Musica. It is one of the early Koffi songs that I like alot.

If Historia Musica had his sortie officiel on 24 December 1983, then it means that Koffi’s first solo-album Ngounda, not being recorded/released in 1983  like mentioned in all his biographies but in 1984. My  head was always crunching when thinking about  that, knowing that Historia Musica was created towards the end of 1983 but wondering how Koffi being able to release Ngounda the same year while it was 1984. Its sad that Mbuta Likasu is in bad terms with Koffi. It would nice if would ever do an 5 part interview with him until the Effrakata-days. Or just write a book about his career from his start as songwriter until the BEK-days. Because in his interview with Ado I saw that he had alot to say and I know many things that nobody revealed.

I was surprised to hear Derval naming the original writer of Emeneya’s hit song  Sans Preavis and they used to perform it also in Historia Musica. But I remember late Colombani Wasenga claiming in an interview he did with I think Addy Londole back in 2013 that he wrote Sans Preavis and Willo Mondo for Emeneya.

I was also surprised to hear that the reason that Debaba left Victoria Eleison was because of arguing in Lubumbashi with Emeneya about a woman called Luké (Debaba would in Historia Musica dedicated a song to her) and Emeneya then using the pretext of Debaba stealing money,  to confiscate the finances of Victoria and give it  back to Pinos, which Debaba couldn’t accept and deciding to leave the band. The funny thing is that Debaba gave a shout-out to his wife Toutou in the song he dedicated to Luké.

The most surprising story was the way Derval revealed how Debaba returned to Viva la Musica after having joined Victoria Eleison. Him even going to Village Molokai to negotiate his return to Viva la Musica with Papa Wemba. But after that concert at Vis-a-Vis returning the same day to Victoria Eleison after having a “nice” visit from Victoria’s bodyguard, having two choices lol. Debaba must have felt very humiliated the way Emeneya ridiculed him at Veve Center, when explaining the story to the public. It reminded me to the story how he humiliated his former mentor Mopero Wa Maloba in Tshikapa, forcing him to do a forward roll after being told that Mopero gossiped about him. But the whole not being happy the way he humiliated his vieux Mopero, Mopero leaving Victoria after that concert and not long after that becoming a brother in christ.

I can’t wait for part 3 with Derval. It would nice if Mbuta could also get Coco Anana of Langa Langa Stars after Mazeya Leya & Dick Roi, hearing now that he was also part of Historia Musica. One question I have for Derval is if Debaba ended up by returning shortly to Victoria before joining Choc Stars. Because in the concert Emeneya did with Victoria Eleison on Tele Zaire after the Europe-tour, he said that people would see Debaba at bar-vis-a-vis.

The lead guitarist name was Lele Nsundi, I thought he passed away from an illness.

Yeah, late Bimi Ombale said the same thing in the interview he did with I think Lunkunku Sampu or Manda Tchebwa when arriving in Kinshasa. Btw he did during that interview a playback-show in a nigtclu and the images being used for l'Oiseau Rare-clip, late Fifi Mofude & Deesse Mukangi also doing a playback show that day.

But I don't remember if it was Beniko Popolipo or Bebe Atalaku. I think Popolipo, him saying that nobody abandoned him and that Bimi just went on his own back to Kinshasa and them being neighboors on the place that they were staying in Brussels.

I thought that playback was filmed in Brussels, I'm guessing he returned to Kinshasa around 1989 or early 1990 because you mentioned late Fifi Mofude and Deesse doing the playback

13
I watch Petit Cachet's interview all the members from the group abandoned him in a hotel and he was left all alone

14
I understand that Papy Reblle and Papy Mondial are different people.

15
I don't know if it was Papy Rebelle or someone Pepe Kalle but I followed one of their interviews and he mentioned Pepe Kalle was mad at him and said he won't participate on the Cocktail clips.
