Congolese Music / Re: THE DANCERS SPEAK

But why keep posting things you have no time to translate?

Nice to watch. I think they want to try peace with new albums this time round. It may work.

did you guys see the part where he asked fans to clap for heritier ?i am glad they are understanding now that their created war of maison  mere days is the past and must remain the past

Ferre, Wata and Celeo are in good relationship of late. I like it. I think their relationship will help Celeo with his upcoming album.

The sins done by Werra in his career though!! WMM is a jungle and Werra got it right, he has been the leader of that jungle.A jungle where others feed on others. I could see how the members behaved when they performed in Nairobi. They showed lack of civility, you could only see people eager to pay themselves on stage.

Even me I would slap Fally for his shit sense of fashion that he's been showing of late.

@mvulusi96

Why the regret?

I was doing everything for free and took alot of risk. He lost he business because of that and received alot of summons(I don't if I translated well). Espcially for Werrason's arrival in Paris in 1999 which created alot of havoc in Paris with the police not knowing what was going on and Mbentenge having to pay alot of money for
disturbing public order. Then also for Werrason's arrival in Paris back in 2000 before Bercy, he then also rented then also a horse with his own money and many other things which created alot of financial problems. Thinking then that Werrason would pay him some money after it as reward which didn't happen. That's also why he decided to support Adolphe Dominguez back in 2000, but he returned to the Maison Mere-camp, because they needed him for the Double Zenith-event. I knew alot of secrets and was very important. That's also why he became a combattant, like many other people who used to support musicians and became broke which created some jealousy and anger. Seeing those leaders that building villa's and them having nothing and the same leaders they supported, don't receiving them at home in Kinshasa and sometimes even humilating them while they took alot of risks. That were one of the reasons why the succes of Congo-Music in Paris and Brussels started to slow down in 2002, because influent people started to stop supporting them, being dissapointed and some also started to get arrested for some business.

Musicians are like politicians, very selfish, or I would say anybody with a celebrity status is unpredictable. Never get into any pact with one without a proper written contract. Musicians will want everything for free, free sex, food, ride, drinks  name it.

@ken , you shoud've told your friend its because Werrason dance's better than he can sing ,  ;D ;D ;D

Shhhhhhhhh!!! I told him that's his nature, He's a show man. Listening to Medicament together yesterday and he insisted that the singer had been to QL, he insisted and I told him the two singers seems to have been fed a lot of cricket insect while still young.

Talk of Wazekwa, just yesterday evening a friend of mine who has been on leave was telling me that he has discovered Felix Wazekwa. He was telling me that he has come to love the man and his music. This is one guy who has not been into Congolese music that much, he's only been listening to Koffi, Fally and Ferre. He asked me why Werra was dancing throughout when he last performed in Kenya and I only told him that he loves dancing.

Death of young people associated with this music is now worrying.
RIP Didier Ndenga

Ya Mvulusi96, you must have been one of the admins at QL at one point or rather you must have been one of the 'guys' sent by Koffi to convince musicians to rejoin QL.

Congolese Music / Re: Koffi Olomide is free
« on: March 20, 2019, 13:25 »
The affirmative response here save for two or three members is evidence of disappointment why Koffi was not jailed. Well, I keep asking myself whether we are true followers of this genre, if we only allow deep hate to the players. I do not love all the musicians from Congo but I don't think I would hate them to the extent of wishing them prison term.

Secondly, We are as confused as the musicians themselves!! I see guys calling on Koffi to recall former QL members for concert but these are the same guys who have been on JB's case for keeping old musicians in his band.

To me Koffi does not need former band members to stage a good show. QL has talent in it currently and what Koffi needs to do is to give these musicians freewill to showcase their talent and to allow them to market themselves.

Otherwise, congratulations to Wakapenga for the acquittal.

@Ken Bilele, welcome back. I always wonder why Koffi invites so much bile on this blog. Granted, he may be a horrible human being but we are all guilty of our own demons and this is a musical blog not a moral platform where we police individuals behaviours. Rape is a sin, lying is also a sin and all sins are equal before God so while we condemn Koffi for rape(in case we have hard evidence not assumptions and insinuations) let us pray to God to deliver us from our own sins.

Kenya is currently coming to terms with a case in which an innocent man has been in jail for the last ten years for charges that were framed by the wife so that the wife could sell his property. The woman directed the daughter to report the father to police for having raped her. Ten years down the line the daughter has shocked the nation by coming out to confess that the father did not rape her. So for those that are quick in judging let us be considerate.
