Congolese Music / Re: I GUESS KOFFI’S CHILDREN HAVE MADE UP
« on: September 16, 2019, 18:58 »
Why Master Virus acting like a teenage girl fan? Be a man don't comment like you were a groupie Master Virus

lol fally's answer explains why
So commenting on another persons post is suddenly a groupie? Lol people on this forum really like making any post related to Fally negative

@CM Prince; on a related note, people’s attitudes and tendencies over time play heavily into people’s perceptions of them. This is what we’re seeing lately regarding Fally. A few years ago it was fine and tolerable because his ego complex wasn’t so blatant

Trust me bro I get it I really do but the issue I have with it is you all act like he’s the first and only one to be like that. But let’s be honest with ourselves the guy is still active whilst what are his peers doing? You said Fally bores you as an artist but in the past year aside from Fally and Fabregas who has released an album in the 5th Generation? most people on this forum recently are just discrediting his talents on what he’s done for the genre just cause they don’t like the way he’s acting is just really dumb, and then you have guys like @mrvibes who’s always leaving nasty insults on every Fally post which is not normal. Like I said this forum has become so anti Fally that there’s people who love jumping on the Fally hate wagon cause it’s the fun thing to do.

Bro...let them be. But have you ever taken time to think that their unwarranted hatred for Fally can be as annoying as your obvious adoration for the guy. You always defend Fally so passionately even when it is not warranted. It is weird too for a man(which assume you are) to be such a sycophant of another man they barely know. Unless you know each other then that would make a lot of sense !!!!

Congolese Music / Re: Ali Mbonda is very sick and needs help
« on: September 11, 2019, 11:23 »
I heard he left Maison Mere and joined Heritier? Am a fan of both Heritier and Werrason equally so am not defending Werra and bashing Heritier. Now if he is sick, has he requested for help? Is it possible that he is already receiving help? Is there a possibility that Werrason, JB, Heritier, Ferre and other clan Wenge have already given him some help? Kindly someone answer these questions without bringing which side I am on. But if anyone needs to know which side am on, am on the side of REASON

I think it was a rumor because some months ago he came at Heritier's place of rehearshal

IF he is still a member of Maison Mere even if on suspension and IF he has requested for help and IF he has not received that help, then Werra needs to lead efforts to come to his rescue followed by other clan Wenge, then friends , family and finally wellwishers

But Owadwa, how do you call in well wishers when this guy has been an employee to one of the top leading bands in Africa? His leader is enjoying dinner with the sultans of Oman. The difference between Werra and other leaders is that Werra is Heartless. Whereas Koffi is evil he has a permanent soft heart when it comes some of the former major contributors to QL, JB we all know is a gentleman anytime and Wazekwa, a family man. If we were to write history of WMM where will Ali Mbona feature? a guess among top 5. It's not always about money but compassion from Werra at this time is paramount.

Jakom, very wise words on compassion and being human. My only concern was on due diligence. Is there evidence that Werrason has not given him any help?

Simplicity I totally agree with you, we are basically diving into conclusions based on a picture which says absolutely nothing. Do they even know the guy is sick? Has he requested for help? Hasn't he received any help? What is he sick of? So many unanswered questions which makes it so hard to understand why we would be quick on picking whom to blame.

In terms of belonging, this guy is practically out of WMM. In these bands, they don't always write official communication. He has spent more time with Heritier than anyone else the past months. That is not to say only Heritier can help. The truth is these guys have connections with a lot of other big musicians who can help. If he has been neglected, surely all those he has worked closely with should share the blame. I don't get it when we rush to blame certain individuals without all these details and looking at the bigger picture. When it comes to pay, we only hear about how Werrason doesn't pay but no one is able to explain mass exodus from other bands with musicians claiming they dont get paid.

My conclusion is that to a certain level we are still caught up in the polemique years. The past months Werra spent months touring Congo, recently he went to Angola, Kenya, Tanzania, Equatorial Guinea and now Oman and had high level lucrative  concerts but soon we shall hear stories of how Werra only practices at La Zamba and never performs anywhere???

@Nkosi, it is a running theme on this blog. Werrason may not be an angel but he kind of gets very unflattering reception here. And I will give you examples.
1. Every day you hear people come here and say La Zamba is dead and mostly empty but when a rehearsal that is filled to the rafters is posted here, they all go quiet. Mind you this is just a rehearsal but gets more fans than actual concerts of some of the artists that are praised here.
2.Werrason is accused of being stingy and a bad boss forcing musicians to abandon him. Yes, he may be stingy though nobody has ever brought evidence to support this claim only basing it on what these departing musicians say. I thought principles of fairness dictate that we hear both sides of the story. When a musician leaves Werrason, Werrason is bad and that musician is good and we believe everything bad they say about Werra. But when another musician leaves another group(Ferre for example) to join Werrason instead of now applying the same standard and blaming Ferre for being bad for mistreating that artiste and forcing them to join Werrason, it is the same Werrason we blame for poaching that musician because of polemic. Again when a musician is with Werrason they are labelled Faux Chanteur but when they leave they are stars and people are always calling for them to drop an album. Example is Eboa Lotin and Cappucino.
3. Most of us always claim they want a return to sebene and generique because rhumba is taking over and destroying congolese music. Werrason i think is one of the musicians who must always have about four or more generiques and sebene with every release and instead of being thankful we always criticize how they are flops

Finally, am not a Werrasonique so I request my fellow esteemed bloggers not to throw mud at me for defending Werrason because I am his fan-atic. In Congolese music I equally love works by Doudou Copa, Koffi, Heritier, Ferre, Werrason(Level 1), Fally, JB, Wazekwa,Adolph, Fabro(Level 2) and even appreciate works by the underrated but talented artists like Fila Bassele, Lassa Lacolyte, Papy Bastin, Kabosse, Aimelia, the Mpela brothers. Others like Robinho, Blaise Bula, Djino, Bill, Celeo will be in my footnotes

What makes it even more surprising is that the artists we criticise here most i.e Werra, Koffi and Ferre are the most consistent in churning out releases plus Fally of course.

A kind request is that can anyone reply to my post above not by labelling me as a blind follower of Werrason which I know some are going to call me anyway even after reading my explanation for this post(Because it is easier to go personal than think critically). Kindly reply by deconstructing each of my points above by showing the fallacies in them. That, being the scholar I am I will enjoy and appreciate.

When is the album expected to come out?

I hate enter in people's discussion but @Symplicity come on. Despite being a huge Wenge MM Fan so a fan of Heritier and Ferre I have to say that Fusee is 10 times better than Bercy. The fact that JB is lazy takes nothing out of Fusee. Bercy even though he has talented it is too much of a music interrupter and violent guy to be taken seriously. His cries in Wenge where "Nakobeta bango mutu ee" (I am gonna smash their head "Ya Ngiama moto asali yo mabe azo loba limhis'e" (Ya Ngiama if someome hurts you always wants your forgiveness) "Tokolia na ekenge moto ozolala n'e kutu akoboma yo" (We gonna eat in a smart way with him because the persom you sleep with is going to be the person who is gonna kill you) when I listen ti Ndombolo the last thing I need to hesr is someone talking about hitting people. He did hace some great cries lime the Didi Kinuani, Tempo, Elastique, Ali Mbonda akobeta ndenge nini. Nakoki Te Kolongola bilamba nazwa mupepe, Yo, Litzimbiri yayoe Ya Munu e, but Ambulamce in that Album owmed him the 2nd generique where Ambulance starts with "Na beng'eee na tuna Noel Ngiama Igwe" really killed Bercy. Also Kata Fumbwa and Musselu by Lobeso were way better received than Bercy's cries. People were seeing that the album flopped because Werra gave space to Bercy instead of limiting it to Ambulance, Lobeso and Diego.
Fusee instead already sang on KiYunguzuna and it was a success despite KiYunguzuna not being pubblished so much. Sang on Balle De Match got peiple crazy you can't really comapre which cries with Ferre (except Boss thst it wasn't his) stuck in Congo by Bercy? No one.
Ambulance, Fusee, Jamaique are waaaay better than Bercy

My brother, I never said Bercy is better then Fusee. I just asked those who think Fusee is better to back up their claim. An author is judged by the books he publishes and their appeal to the masses, an actor by reviews to his movies, a striker by how many goals, a defender by clearances, tackles and blocks made and an atalaku by the cris he has made. So how many cris has Fusee invented and animated and on how many songs to have us rate him so highly. You say he sang on Balle de Match and got people crazy? Which songs of Balle de Match and which are these people who are so lucky to go crazy over an unreleased album?

8
for me he was never good with Ferre (with Werra and wata he is a beast)Am really looking forward Heritier's generique......Bercy is currently the best atalaku now.He has great potential, though I dont seem to be liking Hello cry
I think there are atalaku who are better than him now such as JB's Fusée de guerre for example

What makes you say so? Please refer me to like 3 songs Fusee has animated in so I can rate him please!!

Fusee will eat Bercy alive if they go head to head!

I dare state

Where are his works that convince you he will eat Bercy alive? How many minutes of how many songs has he animated in so that we can use that to rate him versus Bercy or versus any other atalaku for that matter?

At this point I feel like he’s putting out music just to put out music. There’s nothing special about this song. The same guitar licks from Nyaquatance and that “Mboka ezalaka boye” chant is unoriginal. Plus, I’m having difficulty taking a 60+ year old man prancing around with his pants hanging off his ass seriously.

If he is fine with his pants sagging to his knees, I think he does not give a fuck what you think Sir. It is his pants, It is his ass and he is okay with it so why not look for 60-year-old men with their pants up to their armpits and be okay with.....its a free world bruh

Just like I don’t give a fuck what YOU think. This is MY opinion on an opinionated platform. Really??? You’re right he has that right and I have a right not to take him seriously,  say he looks stupid. I’m not gay, I don’t want to watch his ass crack.

So this is what this forum has become? People don’t agree with you and their favorite artists, they take offense, get confrontational and hurl insults. Roger that...

Spoken like a sage but remember the hardest part of business is minding your own. Keep on not taking him seriously.  I bet he misses and craves your  approval

Guys. Koffi like JB and Werra amd many old guys doesn't need ti proif anything to anyone. Between the three Koffi is the most "IDGAF" so he will keep posting this style of generique. I don't think he is doing it fir the Congolese fans but for Ivoirians and especially Zambians, Kenyans and Zimbabweans who love this "new" style of Koffi. I mean this guy have written Loi album and gave back to back to back to back classics. Youare asking a Washington Wizards's Michael Jordan to win another threepeat give him a break.

You have a point. Someone in here a while back can't remember who that was, said that Koffi is a businessman and I said that's true. Koffi understands the need and demands of this generation. Aparently speaking of Kenya, more of Koffi's recent songs dominate airwaves. He understands that the era of puting too much into a song is gone and even when you put much there is no price to it. He understands that this is the era of DJ Arafat that admitted on live TV that he sings what he doesn't know. Bula,Reddy,Karmapa,Ibrator and few others have tried to remain original to the essence of rhumba but they struggle to get to the big stage. When everyone else played Koyimbi Ko was it monotonous? Let him promote this partition because people love it.

@Bilele, this is what guys don't get. While am a Koffi fan, I have not enjoyed his music since Danger de Mort save for a few rhumbas that cannot even be more than 10. Still, I appreciate the fact that there are millions who enjoy this 'crap' that Koffi is singing nowadays and he also knows that and caters to those exact needs. There was a lot of noise here how Caligula, Rendekita and Je Suis(Socrate) were gonna be big because they were 'pure'. Where did those albums go while Koffi's Papa Ngwasuma 'trash' is being danced to in parties all over here with only days in the market.

Who said La Zamba is nowadays always half empty?

To make peace simple as that.......he has looked more mature than many including the presido himself.  Am a great fan of Baby and Werra, hence seeing them in good terms is a plus for us their fans.....but for others it might seem irrelevant

@KASTELLO, some of us do not know what we want. When Werrason ignores Baby at Simaro's funeral it is a problem, when they seem to have made up, it is still a problem.
Who here said it was a problem that Werra and Baby made up? And Werra didn’t ignore Baby at Vieux Simaro’s funerals.

I said. Up there. Read again slowly this time.
