Congolese Music / Re: FINALLY JAMAICA IN WMM - GREAT REPLACEMENT
« on: February 17, 2018, 09:44 »
The guy is very talented. If only Werra will learn from why good artists are always leaving him. Jamaique can do his own animations and just about all the other animations from all the atalakus that have been through WMM to include tenor atalakus....They all seem to like him. They just have to pay him to stay.

Side note: I saw people spraying him with 100 dollars bills. Didn't know music fans carry that kind of cash....we can't complain of hunger then, right?

Congolese Music / Re: WHEN HERITER WAS AN ATALAKU FOR A DAY.

Japonais was credited with solo of the Fanatique na Ngai song. Playing style sound more like Christian Solo. Any truth to this?

Wata's soloist was struggling to keep up. Welcome to the new changement de frequence a la WMMM. Ambulance could actually bring Wata's generiques/sebenes to a new level if he gets play time. But Heritier must know that Ambulance isn't there to count beans and eat kuli kuli. He's there to inject life into the group.

Congolese Music / Any knows which song this is?
« on: January 21, 2018, 11:04 »
Listening to this Mboka Liya Sebenology and at 2:40:02 is a WMMM song. I think it's Adolph's Voyage, but I could be wrong. Anyone knows? and a clean Youtube copy? Thanks

By the way these Sebenologies are on point and very informative....You can now attach certain riffs, playing style to certain soloists.

Anyone notice that Prince D'Angola sounds like Lacoste? I was listening and not watching and thought well, there is Lacoste until I looked up.

I cringe every time I see a post about congo braza music or their musicians
Why.....if there are artists that are sidelined, Extra Musica artists are.....only DRC artists are promoted even here in Zambia. I am trying to be a promotor for Extra Musica and brazza here in Zambia....

I just need contacts to Roga Roga....who can help...

I may be wrong but i think he's referring to their style of playing not the artists themselves. You could just listen and tell if a song (except rumba) is coming from Congo Brazza or Congo Kinshasa.

Congolese Music / Re: FALLY SHARES CAPUCCINO ALBUM POSTER
« on: December 13, 2017, 18:00 »
From one of the comments on Fally's IG

"Dicap tu soutient les ingrats? Ce mec quand il aura la force il va passer a la télé pour bouder et tout . Laisse le débrouiller."

Google Translation "Dicap you support the ungrateful? This guy when he will have the strength he will go to the TV to sulk and everything. Leave him alone."

I don't remember LBG going on TV to talk smack about Fally either as solo artist or as part of WMMM. Anyone knows about this?

May she rest in perfect peace. Cancer sucks ass big time!!!!!

He does great music but he really has to find good atalakus. The tenor atalku (name?) screams down the whole song while the falsetto atalaku (name?) is off key for the most part. He tries to sound like Kabuya, but not successful doing that. Arrangement and general ambiance carry Robinio's generics (my opinion) not the atalakus.

Seka Moke Youtube channel used to be another good source of music videos (the whole African diaspora), but I think his is gone as well.

Congolese Music / OCEAN EBELE'S BEST?
« on: November 05, 2017, 09:40 »
This guy was at one point in just about all the congolese songs released in the late 90s and early 2000s. he's very repetitive and not quite creative. But in Zala Cool, he used animations that were never heard before (at least not by me).

What is he up these days? Still involved in music?
