Despite his early stardom, he has remained in school and intends on going to University.

Too many of the youth drop education as soon as they get 1 minute of fame; and when that goes away they have nothing

He were... erm, Congolese? Kilebu, the dancer célèbre from the Ndombolo era:

Frankly, I like this better than most of the recent releases from the famous artists. The great Sec Bidens had a hand in the arrangement, so the sound is excellent

Meaning literally the générique from the album in live, nothing added. Most live génériques usually have other génériques mixed in or are improvised. It helps that it's the same personnel from the album and the fact the original générique was also recorded live.

I tried to think of other live génériques, but nothing comes close

From the excellent Anytime. If I were to get song in my name, I would make a special request for this uptempo style:

Something that's become very rare nowadays, all songs on Anytime were composed by Defao himself.

And no sign of the album being released today. It gets a bit frustrating when all the artists announce and hype dates, only to go completely silent when the day arrives.

Instead the acoustic/classical "1789"  concert from a few years ago has finally been released on CD/streaming. Definitely worth a listen

She says her friend, Irene and her family refuses to associate with Werrason and all Wenge associates because they are convinced her father was sacrificed. He was healthy, then all the sudden he became very ill and passed in 2010 (RIP).

You guys would have heard his name a lot in Werra's album since they were childhood best friends (along with JB, Ambassador Kija Brown, Depitsho, and co). He had an influential administrator role in Wenge MM.

Meilleur generique et clip de l'an 2000:

« 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 Attaquer! »

Say what you will about the issues with the (rushed) programming job, namely Flamme’s muffled solo … when a song hits legendary status, that stuff doesn’t matter. Turned out to be Papy Kakol's grand arrival

Who would've known during that period that the big 4 were setting the bar too high because of fierce competition...

It's very difficult to narrow the list to a few. He has the highest percentage of "good" music compared to all the other artists, save probably Tabu Ley and Franco

The golden era:

Jipson, Fally, Tupac Mamale ,Eric Tutsi, Lola Muana
CNN & Ocean Ebale
Solo: Felly Tyson
Rhythm: Ridens Makosso
Bass: Binda Bass
Percussion: Esthétique
Mbonda: Passé Kosse
No synthesizer

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe this was at WOMAD 2000. Hence the very lean musician lineup
