Werra really holds Angola dearly. And of course Mangwana lives like a dignitary in Luanda.

Congolese Music / Re: THE REASONS WHY CEDRIC YA MADO LEFT FABREGAS« on: July 06, 2018, 15:57 »
Ndeko @Ken Bilele never striked as someone as being part of fanclub Fabregas. There are two side to this story, I’m going to wait until some more details come to light.
With all leaders there’s usually harsh backlash when an artist sees a dancer... unless you’re a critical member and loyal like Kakol. Good luck to Cedric 2300

Cryese posted it on his IG while back and people in the comments liked it, but seemed to not understand what going on. Kinda like when I open my windows in traffic with some sebene playing loud

Bro, too much to list and also also hard to scale a list of 100+ good albums to 20. Just being pragmatic

The one caveat was that by the time the album came out people were tired of the dance. Should be released a few months earlier.
The clip for Ligne 11 is legendary. One of the best ever 2303

^ Well in Doudou Copa’s defense he just released from French prison after serving a prison sentence so it’s expected he’s no there yet. He’s cash-strapped so he can’t fly back and forth.

PEOPLE DANCING TO KOFFI’S GROS BÉBÉ AT A FUNERAL« on: July 05, 2018, 23:17 »On the subject, I remember seeing footage of people dancing to générique Solola Bien at a funeral like it was a concert at Zamba Playa. Can’t find it now, but it was something surreal to meIt is because you are not deep into Congolese culture I mean for me it is natural to see people dancing at funerals, I wouldn't do it cause I am not a very dance in public guy, but when I die I definitely want Werra and Koffi to sing for me while people dance. Bro, I’m Congolese. I think it’s has more to do with family tradition and sects. My family in particular is not outgoing enough to have is practice 2305

Congolese Music / Re: LOL, WHAT? PEOPLE DANCING TO KOFFI’S GROS BÉBÉ AT A FUNERAL« on: July 05, 2018, 23:06 »Congolese people see death as a sad fact, yes, but also an happy one because you are reunited with our famous Koko (forefathers). Death to the Congolese culture it is the pass for an Ancestral power, your name will be remember, respected and passed by of generation in generation, in fact if you check all the Congolese chants dedicated to happy without understanding the words they seems like it is party material, the classical Ah Mafuidi and so on. So it isn't surprising seeing people dancing at funerals, bands getting invited too at the funerals. Sure... but unless the deceased special requested Gros BB... it’s not exactly suiting for the nature event. Papa Wemba’s mother, Extra Musica, & the earliest QL members got their start as mourning singers/bands at local funerals. The one thing that’s constant in DRC is death. 2307

Congolese Music / Re: NORBAT DE PARIS- SAVOIR SAPER LES NGAYA..retro like good feelings« on: July 05, 2018, 21:02 »
Love it. Nice composition from Modogo GFF. I don’t support the morals of the sapeur lifestyle, but they sure make good music - their pope Strevos Niarcos (RIP), Modogo GFF, Gloria, Djuna Djanana, etc
i like it reminds me of some viva or modogo gff songs, and i love when somebody speaks lari in a song lol Haha yea, Norbat keeps his lingala to a strict minimum when not speaking French 2309
