Congolese Music / Re: Scans of albums booklet
« on: January 04, 2018, 03:06 »
Merci mingi Grand prêtre

Regarding the typos - they gave it to a French guy to type up. That’s the only way I can justify that

Yea, it’s clear a very large portion of the album was done in Kinshasa

Of course of Choc Star & Viva La Musica fame. As well as Maître Gims. Dadju gifted the plaque to his dad. Very proud dad he must be

Hate to bring in the ongoing atrocities in Kin, however, I think it’s best that the pro-Fally media pages are focused on that situation right now. Pages like Voice of Congo, La Bouche, and MacDeddy especially would’ve posted this knowing that commenters would have a field day poking fun.

it's really sad that Wemba, Emeneya and Olomide did not get along because they were a good trio and could have made a big album together during the 90's

Emeneya and Koffi were life long friends - always cracking jokes on easch other and friendly disses. It was that each had their beefs with Wemba

3275
Kiekie, talk about a thread revival

Don’t forget about Wemba essentially having a big part of ruining Kester’s marriage with Liliane. Attributing to the (some would say fatal) stressors later in his life.

What a mess, even the camera editiing made me dizzy.  First early L of 2018... this would’ve been acceptable 6 years ago

The best Brazza générique I've heard in a long time. It's as if he listened to our criticisms

Good to see that Doudou isn't allergic to changement de fréquence or solo guitar licks. And Zao Bass with the real groovy bass line

…….I find it very frustrating, confusing and disappointing that Congolese artistes cannot give us accurate information. I think that these brains behind most of these blockbuster songs deserve open recognition as opposed to this closet type of recognition. We want to see their names credited on CD sleeves.

Couldn't agree more. Songwriters can compose almost an entire album, but still their names won't be credited. Same thing is happening now  to El Dorado, Pida Star, etc.

Just because you bought the song doesn't mean you have full  artistic ownership

Chantal is tata's song by pascal poba and was  given to werra.... Pascal never wrote a song for werra..

You said it yourself, Adolphe bought the song from Pascal, then gave it to Werra. So technically Pascal is known as author. He also advised them at studio N'diaye when they recorded Intervention Rapide.

Pascal Poba, one of the great composers and advisors of the 90’s and early 2000’s. He was the one who composed JB’s "Omba" and Werra’s "Chantal Switzerland". Known for his deep and educations lyrics. It’s easy to see where JB got influence for his hit song “Education”.

Really nice songs featuring JB Mpiana:

Also, Koffi Olomide:

Pascal & Wemba & Adolphe Dominguez:

Listen to the way 20 year old Ramazani was hitting intricate guitar licks (4:00-) on the sebene like Makaba and Pepe Felly Manuaku. Also, Mboshi Lipasa with the Loi era animations:

3283
Horrible - you can see the so-called police & masked ANR beating and robbing pedestrians (46:00-)

3284
Sure looks like he enjoyed his new year as the honored guest of the President of Guinea

Fally's fans are just like Beyonce's "Beyhive"
