lol @manzambi; not justifying anything but it seems you tend to think it's just Koffi the only leader who has done this with how shocked you get.

If only you heard the stories about Tabu Ley, Franco, Wemba, JB, Werra etc....

don't blame the album for your low quaity sound equipments at home, understand that sound quality depends on many factors, for me "A LA QUEE LEU-LEU" was a masterpiece. the Mabanga's are part of life, hell, in western music if you listen carefully, all you hear is illuminati Mabanga's...

Ndeko, I'm an audiophile. I have the high quality equipment at home so I can appreciate good music. Even Al Nzimbi has gone on record about the acoustic mistakes on this album. I wouldn't have made this thread if the sound quality was up to par. You love the album because of the sentimental value that it brings you

Around this time you had album-after-album with stellar sound quality - Affaire d'etat, Internet, Effrakata, Madilu's - Bonheur, Extra's - Trop c'est Trop, King Kester & Victoria's - Nouvelle Odre , and much more.

This is the one album everyone (the forum agrees in majority) points to as the beginning on Mabanga overload. 13ans from Kibuisa was the first preview of new age mabanga - with 111 names called in a 6 min rhumba, which people called ridiculous.

Congolese Music / Re: This guy is so jealous of Fally's succes

Fally is so savage kiekiekiekiekiekie. He know how to attack people indirectly.
Fally gets on my nerves, he knows his closet rival is Ferre and Fabregas makes better music then his dude Robinio. If it was Foreign artist Fallynwoodve gone on and on about how great that artist is. Fally aza na complete which is something he knows cause he blocked me off IG for saying that lol.

Blocked you, damn. I suspected something like comment deleting because everyone is always stroking him (sorry, best way to describe it) in his comments section.

And I can also confirm it's Fally himself (not Manon Loubaki) who reads and repsonds to comments on his IG and FB with the responses he writes to his buddies.

You are right about him reading and responding to his posts on Instagram. He does it all by himself. Matebu, remember someone said it here when Eloko Oyo just got released that they commented showing their displeasure and disappointment over the song and Fally deleted their comments. Let them keep fanning his ego till they will have nothing to fan anymore. If at this stage and time in his life and career, all he ever wanted to keep hearing is "boss, you are the best...you have got no rival", no constructive criticism allowed... then the future is bleak.

JB's direction.

At least with Koffi's/Ferre's/Werra's page people write praises and insults & they aren't deleted. (Before you Fally fans get upset, go check all the artist's pages to see the commentary - you'll understand what I mean)

Just an example - When Koffi had his Kenyan scandal, people were writing the harshest insults possible on his pages, but they were never deleted.

Man time has not been too kind to the sound quality. Like Solola Bien, the solo often sounds like mid-solo. I wonder why Al Nzimbi tuned percussions (snares specifically) the way he did. Most of the time the album sounds like they recorded it in a tin can.

The superb vocals & compositions by the Maison Mère dream is what saves the album. Every time I listen to Kibuisa I think "legendary"; everything was perfect. But this album, most times I can't listen in full.

It was recorded at Studio Guillaume Tell, a prestiugous Paris studio and the great Al Nzimbi was arrangeur, so I' don't understand how the sound was so subpar.

*Side note, this album and period (Koyimbiko) was the highpoint of Celeo's career.

It's great that Congolese music has infiltrated French popular music, but the negative side is that they're stealing artistic property and making it theirs. All (literally) the choreography from this song comes sebene portion Force de Frappe - Au Secours of Binda Bass. This is due to the lack of herdity in genre.

Then the western audience watches and thinks they created a new amazing dance. Lots of other examples, but this is the clearest

lol, Fally fans have set Celeo's social media pages on fire ;D. I guess he got the attention he was desperately seeking

Shout out to Manda Chante for always being the voice of reason

i had started a book about the history of wenge musica back in 2012 2013 i stopped around 1992

It's sad their feelings get in the way of documenting important cultural history. Literature outlives them and all these silly complexes.

Right now it's hard for people to learn about the full history of Congolese music, but you can find everything about Senegalese or Malian music instantly

3672
His interview with Ado Yuhe was so insightful about all things Wenge, but was unfortunately deleted. Finally he has returned to recount the entire orginal Wenge story again from start-to-finish.

I would never question anything he or "Fondé" Didier Masela has to say regarding Wenge history. All these years I never knew Kija was the inverse of his name Jaki (Jackie), and Brown was given to him by JB

So much information - like Werrason the childhood drummer in Celio stars.

"Ambassadeur Kija Brown, omoni niveau?"  :D
