One of my favorite tracks from Kipe ya yo, a story telling rhumba with jazz levels of smoothness.

«L'homme de mineur» ... shame

Really nice percussion work by Seguin

Lol fally impersonator?? who is this guy?

No, he's one of the modern gospel artists. I forget his name (that's what happens when you completely copy someone else).

 He's been doing this for years now; can't believe someone didn't tell him to stop it.

Edit: It's Olivier Kalabasi i think.

He is asked about the song kaniaka and says people should see beyond the parts he talks about his fallout with fabregas because the lyrics are too deep to just be taken as a diss song

Kaniaka is the most impressive rhumba of the year for me, unless Karmapa tops it. The depth of the lyrics and lamentation of a particular life situation is what I'd usually expect from the most senior singer-composers like Koffi, Wazekwa, Defao, and Karmapa

lol, no rhumbas? In addition to Kelvis:
Ferre Gola - Mea Culpa, Fautif, & Titanic (I could add a few more);
Ibrator - Kaniaka, Dorsal Dodo;
F'Victeam - To Dondwa;
Ferre Gola & Arafat - Azalaki Awa;
Werrason - Ali Mayimona, Se na Se;
Christian Schengen - 1fffo Maçon

I agree with you the song is just on point
For me its
1)Zigida

If only you knew the lyrics and meaning behind Zigida...

I'm sure it's the same with his wife, but Didi really, really does not like Cindy. One time she got vocally upset backstage at a concert
What happened at that concert and what did koffi and cindy do?

It was at one of the hotel concerts last summer. I don't remember which exactly (there's so many new hotels). Cindy appeared when the family was together, and Didi stared her down then flipped out. I'm sure the footage was deleted off YouTube.

Maybe one of the organzers can make JB change his mind by offering him the entire Fall 2017 Yamamoto prêt-à-porter collection in his size as compensation. He's so obsessed with the brand :D

Yea, I saw pictures of his wife and kids in Luanda. Seems like there's a strict policy in effect that his actual family and her cannot be in the same vicinity.

Heard this at the barbershop of all places. Won't put him on full blast and say his name. He got together with a girl who was called on stage to dance during their U.S tour last November. The dancing footage of her is on YouTube.

He hit her with the usual "I'm coming back soon and we're going to get married" talk, but he has not returned any communication when she told him she was pregnant. Little does she know, he already has a wife and kids in Kinshasa....

This used to to happen so much much back in the day when Europe concerts were going on. Some artists kept their word, others would just disappear.

After what happened with Alvarito, Fally made sure everyone returned to Kin.

Grand père, ya Benz! Been a big of his since the Langa Langa Stars days

Yea, most of the female talents were discovered and/or trained by him. With the exception of Les Amazones in Guinea (the first and only All female African band), he basically pioneered giving women lots of singing power in a group.  Betty Bis, Scola Miel, Blaisesse Ayembé, are other notable alumni

I always have a smile on my face when I watch this. All female chorus for the Anti Choc concert

He's doing it all in Angola

Reunion concert are very tricky.
Shamala be honest don't you ever get frustrated with jb?

if you understand who or how he operates you will not get frustrated.
1. Jb is afraid of confrontation
2.don't expect that an album will be out.
3. what the cheer squad(yes men) says goes
4.his priorities are upside down
5. rewards loyalty over talent
6. business partners override artistic direction
7.he loves to enjoy himself even if it gets in the way
8. he is into live music more than albums
9. don't get your expectation very high...limit them
10. etc etc etc

Where's the fun in that tho? But as a self-ordained "porte-parole non-officiel" you gotta support his actions

Great song and great lyrics transcription

Thanks. It's one of those songs that gets stuck in your head for days. Now I'm just trying to figure out who the composer is
