For me still some of the best guitar work Ive heard past/present from the godfather of modern guitar sound

Link is not showing bro,is it a shorts?

Nah - it’s a copy of this documentary. I’m still a bit surprised Fally agreed to be in it. Surely they duped him on the context

I can already see EVERYTHING which will happen around congolese music about that lol

Kiekie - If a Congolese artist ever wins this category we will never hear the end of it. I’m sure some guys are already plotting Grammy nicknames  :D

I'm in America, dude this category is among the many others that aren't televised. African music doesn't play on the radio or music stations here

What about all the Nigerian songs that have commandeered the hip-hop stations over the past 1-2 years?

After 20 years, I have to say from an audiophile perspective - ADE is one of, if not, the best acoustic sounding studio album I've heard from the genre. Almost everything from Koffi's catalogue after sounds inferior in comparison.

Agree with you guys I wish band members had more space to add songs - the repeat songs on Disc 2 is disappointing

Dunno about this one ndekos. Part of me thinks he's taking the piss following Burna Boy's conquests in Wembley and UCL Final. He needs to worry about putting on a decent U Arena with his tired band first.

He sells out a venue only to put on a forgettable performance (Bercy, Stade de Matyrs, etc). Could you guys imagine if Koffi's Bercy or if Werra's Zenith were weak back in the day? They would've been tortured by the fans and press alike.

The big thing about the Nigerian artists in addition to being united, is also that they put on absolute spectacles at their stadium venues. Burna Boy is killing it overall, which is why he has the world's attention at the moment

« Ya Ofele, ou Ya Ofele te? » in my best Baby Ndombe voice  ;D

Even free I guess he’ll be playing for locals passing by doing daily activities

Congolese Music / Re: Jalousie XL Félix Wazekwa

lol - a few things are certain in life - death, taxes, and Congovibes hate on Felix Wazekwa « S’Grave »  ;D ;D ;D

The man is trying his best

Knowing Koffi - he’ll be on some bullshit in either or both countries to piss off the compatriots there… only to return a few years later due to the antics Stockholm syndrome he so benefits from over the years.  Also an apology video/song helps the cause

It always spooks me that a lot of WMM staff and close affiliates died fairly young of mystery reasons.

The were heavy in kindoki during that era.. my friends used to tell me to avoid Zamba Playa because the folks in the crowd were not normal
