Congolese Music / A DUET OF BIN ADAM AND JDT MULOPWE?
« on: August 27, 2019, 08:33 »
Naty Lokole at 55 minutes tells JDT that he wants to find a songwriter to write a song for him which JDT and Bin Adam should sing together. JDT responds that yes a number of people have been asking him as to why he hasnt done a song with  lipasa naye "his twin brother" Bin Adam and says that's not a problem (I wonder in what context JDT would be refered to as lipasa ya Bin Adam). JDT further says Naty should also get a producer willing to put up money for that to happen. And Naty says there is already someone he knows a huge fan of JDT who is willing to make that happen. Your thoughts on this proposal?

Somewhere in the interview he also talks about his soon to be released album which has 19 songs but will be released in three parts with the first part of the release having 7 songs. Also talks about how Congoleese artists should not be happy playing in Night clubs and Bars in Europe  and that most Combantants are tired of blocking concerts  and would want concerts back in europe but that some of them are just doing to show that the struggle continues but really they as combatants are also tired of the struggle.

Congolese Music / NEW STUFF: JDT MULOPWE - ANCIEN DEMON
« on: July 15, 2019, 17:49 »
Some nice rumba from Pa Poppy. I like the way it starts, wish it maintains that temple for a larger part of the song, however, not bad at all, this is actually better than most recent rumba releases me thinks.

@Archos i have been seen some postings about the Imminent release of "Ganga Film" album. Are we finally getting the long awaited album from Ya Jacky?

Aaah Geco aza mystic.  ;D

Was that Titina singing on the vocal "Kokende poto ezali synonym ya kokota Mokonzi ya lola te. Kokende poto ezali synonym ya kokoma mondele te?"

(Chipmunk version)

Too much drama, these guys are funny when they fall out with their leaders.
They say they have expelled brigade from the group. They also say it was not his orchestra but it was an "orchestra accompagnement". They go on to shout praises at Heritier Watanabe. The mbonda player Palola (sp) also says he never used to travel because the boss bought alcohol from the money meant for him to get a passport.

Vasco Mabiala and Rice Matadien are suggesting that Vibration and Djanny Pacha have left or are about to leave Ferre's group. If this is true then its sad. I personally saw Djanny as a rising star within Jetset but these musicians have small hearts and are very unstable. By the way in the same interview Vasco says Ferre's people want him back as SG but he is not interested in going back (Me thinks he is trying to blow his own trumpet here lol).

Congolese Music / WHO IS "MASTER?"
« on: May 31, 2019, 15:06 »
Like the little title says, the reference in "master" is used in what context when Congolese musicians use it to refer to fellow artist? I always thought master is a colleague but i hear sometimes the two words used together. For instance Bebe Ndombe refers to Lacoste as master in this interview but at the same time says colleague na ngai na ndenge ya mosala.

By the way i laughed starting at 28 minutes when he talks about the beef between him and Lacoste, he says Lacoste thinks that Ferre is the one who tells Baby to be at loggerheads with Lacoste and yet even when Lacoste's mother past away, Ferre was not willing to go for the wake but that its because of him (Baby) who convinced Ferre to attend since that it would not look nice if he stayed away. He also says they sat down the three of them (Ferre, Baby and Lacoste) to talk like men about their differences and that when Lacoste was asked why  he had been going hard on Ferre. Lacoste said ( Baby in Lacoste's voice) "Oh te master, il faut ocompredre ke, yo oza na success, il faut na critique yo" (No master, it is necessary for you to understand that you are successful so i have to criticize you).

Congolese Music / WHO IS THE REAL DOC JEFF NDJADI LETETA?

Just wanted to find out from  y'all how you feel about this generique almost two years since the day of its release. Personally i have come to like it with the passage of time and i have recently found myself playing it repeatedly. Though the solo guitar starting at minute 01:22 sounds like that from the Coin tii Coin primus generique albeit with some variation. Its not exactly a fire generique but i feel could have done better with a bit more promotion than it got. Lol, Didnt know Chef Mabuma Bass can also dance that good starting at 04:04 minutes. Overall i rate it at 6.5/10.
