Congolese Music / Re: EMO'S BEST FRIEND KIBENS INTERVIEWED
« on: January 10, 2023, 15:10 »
I see that he got a shout out in one of the songs by JB Mpiana as "The future pastor" so its true him becoming a pastor? He has to be a pastor for the elite educated folks and not the common man in Kin. He will confuse them with all those bombastic French words he likes to use. Lol

Zulema sounds a lot like Waney Pecho (RIP) though his voice is more rough and deep mais Grand chanteur!
Iyo lela, 50 ans, Ainsi dit l'eternel, Yo na Yo and Choissy matata great songs on repeat.
Raisonner and Ocean de miel should not have made the album. They sound like fillers with not much effort. JB was struggling to make those Malawian names sound nice as mabanga in the song Raissoner. :D :D
Cant wait for Volume 2 to hear more of the other group singers and my favourite Gesan Sakoko and Emo's favourite Kibenga.  ;D

yes even before i think he had that desire, which started to become a real project around covid times but then it was made official the day after the wenge reunion in paris i remember well,my wish now with them guys is that somebody "sets the challenge" of 50/50 albums back again,it forces them to very very very very rarely put a forgettable rumba on the list while the current formula they can affort 16 mehhh rumbas on a 30 songs project

Can Wazekwa fill the stadium? I don't think he's popular enough to mobilize a huge crowd, maybe if he had a special appearance from his friend Koffi it could help
Monstre D'amour himself has made it clear in the past that if he plays at SDM, he is not guaranting a packed Stade but guaranteed he will put up a spectacular show.

he just wakes up and boom u turn instead of attending an important meeting he'd be eating ngulu in kapela and argueing with everybody because he woke up in a bad mood
Bercy Muana's idol. :D :D

ndombolhino says heritier announces a second martyrs for august 2023 one day before his birthday
Eh so it's true? And then he invites full boss ya matanga music again.

Amour neglige, what a rumba! Some partitions are like those from the song Ange Penisse the song of Regis Touba in the album Super Helico. Sad that Kerson Saddam's career stalled after Universal Zangul disintegration. Levyson's voice has not changed one bit. Lol

Congrats Watanabe for the courage to perform at such a huge venue plein au pas. But as a lead singer I find Heritier's live shows uninteresting.

Very uninteresting; you read my mind I came here to say I’m bored watching.

With the current unemployment in Kin I think even everyone’s friend Celeo can fill the stade no problem tbh
Now imagine being in the stadium and him thinks he is hitting the high notes and yet he actually screaming. :D

Dany Kule Le ministre de belle nuance. He is almost a copycat of Apocadero in the way he talks. That story about almost everyone smoking weed confirms why everyone especially Apocadero looked full blown here in this concert.

Really sad Mamu Nationale. An extraordinary career she had!

Who were the key members of Thu Zahina?

Congolese Music / Re: DO YOU GUYS ALSO HAVE SONGS LIKE THAT
« on: December 04, 2022, 04:44 »
bro when i listen to those songs i get pissed off about our current music, that music of then even somebody who had no knowledge whatsoever about music could feel that there was soul, creativity, artist awareness from the guys in that music
now its way too much of a secure the bag thing
You're right it's really sad how the quality being put out nowadays has dropped so low. The music of then most of it could stand as literature in a music class course but not anymore. That's why I for one nowadays am always looking for those old classic albums/songs that I may not have listened to back then. Once I discover one it's always a listening pleasure.

For me its this song from Zaiko Langa Langa. Coincidentally it also has Deo Brondo in it. Different style from the typical Zaiko Langa Langa style. I remember listening to it at the time the album came out but my next listen was this year and its been on the playlist ever since. That transition is beautiful and the guitar even better. Such a timeless piece from Zaiko.
